The Music Thread Strikes Back

40 years old this month. can't think of anything more appropriate for the jubilee celebrations

Every so often Later will spit out a gem. This was fantastic.

Crowded House did the NIA last night. Originally scheduled for June 2020, it was moved to June 2021 then June 2022. Thankfully, this time it went ahead.
And boy were they good. Neil Finn is in his prime, and to be sure he is a phenomenally good guitarist!
For a band as good as CH, there are always going to be omissions from the set list, but in reality watching them last night was a sheer joy, and it appeared that the band were loving being back playing live too.
Also, contrary to expectation, they rocked. Elements of the gig were close to being psychedelic, and there were numerous heavy guitar sections.
Mrs jelly came out wondering if Neil Finns voice is going a bit. I didn’t think so, he seemed really on form to me but his guitar playing really blew me away.
Superb.

Would have liked to go to that, really like CH, not usually a fan of 'pop' music unless it's excellent quality, which they are.

Neil Finn is a class vocalist. Almost sounds as good live as on the records.

a first listen and this is a great album, though sadly my version seems to have a lot of clicks listening back on audacity.
gonna play it again after zapping with an anti-stat gun just to see if it has any affect. what a fkin geek

Absolutely love this track, if you like a chilled groove definitely worth a listen:

Enjoy. They were great both times I saw them. Cannock chase was a particularly good gig.

New single from Leftfield, don't mind it and their new stuff, I guess thats as far as it goes in terms of my reaction though. I mean it's certainly no Space Shanty is it
