Any word on when the new series will start airing?

Did you see the Doctor Who Special "The women of Doctor Who" I think it was called?

Essential Dalek Prop, circa mid sixties.

I think the new series might start on September 1st. I know it's only a few weeks away.

The bloody trailer is doing my nut in. Its the only BBC took a break for during the Olympics.............

I shall be attending the Dr Who thingy in Cardiff next Summer with the lad. He is joining a acting club next month and his ambition..........to become the Dr

That was my ambition from a very early age. I hope your lad has more success than I did.

You know you're getting old when the actor playing The Doctor is younger than you.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea, or jelly baby, but it has been such a big part of my life I was so happy that it returned when my lads were old enough to be brainwashed but young enough not to realise it.

FANTASTIC! ;)

I look forward to losing Amy/Rory,possibly the worst companions in history.

You have clearly never heard of Adric or Mel.

Ugh.

Amy has been a superb companion anyway - the River Song story arc was brilliant.

Yes,they are also on my transfer list.

Again,on the transfer list.
River Song had one moment I didn't dislike her,the regeneration at the end of Day of the Moon as a little girl in New York. :)

I prefer Amy to Rose. She stayed for FAR too long.

Rose should have gone with Chris E,but it was the returns in series 4 that really ruined Rose for me...

Amy just seems so shallow, egocentric and generally not caring, she never grew on me...

If I must.

My favourite Doctor was Peter Davidson and for me was the best regeneration to the next Doctor.

Peter Davison regenerated into Colin Baker at the end of my 2nd favourite Dr Who story ever - The Caves of Androzani.

Absolutely brilliant story and featured one of the best bad guys ever - Sharaz Jek.

Some of the acting in the classic series really was horrific but every so often, a brilliant performance came along and the guy who played Jek was superb.

I can just about remember the plot leading upto Davidson turning into Baker. There were people in white all over the place and I was wondering who the fook they were and it all become clear at the end. Another scary one and you'll laugh now was when The Master had the fake Tardis and the copper came and took a look inside, he was then shrunk into a puppet I think. I was a kid then and It was scary as sh1t.

Logopolis - 1981. Tom Baker's last story.

Oh yes. I know FAR too much about this show.

Coincidentally, that story was the first to feature Tegan. Her aunt was one of the people The Master shrunk.
