The NFL Thread

That's Patricia cooked, only question is whether it's now or the end of the season

Thoroughly enjoyed it. As a Washington fan there is little more pleasing than spanking the Cowboy shite.

None of them were wearing masks so have brought it on themselves. The QB will be a practice squad receiver.

The Ravens have so few players not in the Covid protocol it wouldn't surprise me if they get Ray Lewis out of retirement

I agree to an extent, but the Titans and Ravens have also brought things on themselves but the NFL bent over backwards to rearrange their games. Why not rearrange this one? I guess the Broncos cant count themselves as this season's NFL chosen favourites... its bullshit that they have to play when the Titans did so much wrong and the league went out of their way to get them to play full strength. Bullshit.

I think there's probably 3 factors at play outside of bringing it on themselves, in order of relevance:

The bye weeks have gone so difficult to reschedule without impacting the whole league. Knocking it back a couple of days won't make a difference QB wise

Being 2 games behind with 6 to play Denver only have an outside chance of the play offs, probably needing to win out, so short of an unlikely scenario their season is done.

New Orleans are already there

Now if the Ravens game gets moved again then i agree they've been unfairly treated

Ravens v Steelers game has been moved TWICE in the last few days. For the Broncos game not to be moved and give them at least a chance of getting a QB in to play is absolute bullshit. The league has bent over backwards to help the Ravens and the Titans. Think it stinks to be honest. The Titans especially got away with all sorts of shit including illegally practising when they should have been isolating. It stinks. And I'm not even a Broncos fan.

And all the stuff about their games not being important because they are out of the race should not matter. Every team should be treated equally. They haven't. End of story.

As i said it can't be moved until next week. Any new player needs 5 days before they can practice so even if it were bumped until Tuesday they'd still be without a QB. The Ravens have been lucky that with their game being on Thursday they can be rescheduled and still play in the same gameweek. That's not the case here

Agree if they request to play Tuesday they should be allowed to, but that's as late as it can go without affecting the league season dates wise and it won't get them a QB

The problem for me is not that they aren't allowed to move their game, it's that other teams have been accomodatedcso readily. The other teams should just have also been told to play with who they had available. The Titans benefitted hugely from the league messing their fixtures around. Just don't think it's right, there appears to be be a lack of equality.

One completed pass from the Broncos all game. It makes a total mockery of the NFL.

Rearranging NFL games is not like other sports. They can't play every 3 days. But that game should have been either delayed until Tuesday or until the end of the season.

If they'd delayed it until Tuesday, what would have happened? - He'd have completed 2 passes. Fangio had no sympathy for his QBs and said it's on him/them

As far as the NFL is concerned its all on Denver, they didn't follow protocols and had all four QB's in the same room and not wearing masks.

Can't find a link or the exact stats. Aaron Rodgers has held the highest average QB rating of all time for the past 9 years - until Thursday when Deshaun Watson overtook him. Watson held the record for three days, as Patrick Mahomes rating on Sunday was enough to move him ahead.

Ravens game looks like getting bumped again, that now messes with the season schedule unless they make them both play 3 games in 12 days at some point. The difference given between them and Denver is the number of cases beit all the Bronco's were in the same position. Apparently if the game is forfeited neither set of players would be paid

Wentz is dreadful. Holds the ball far too long and if the pocket collapses then get out of it. It’s not like your as immobile as Big Ben

I could write a thesis on it. The oline has been banged up all season, this is the 11th different starting combination in 12 games which I believe is an NFL record. Clearly not ideal, but before tonight of his 40 sacks, 33 have been 4 seconds or more after the snap, they are on him. The Hurts drafting was ridiuclous, heaping pressure on a mentally weak QB, who has collapsed under the pressure while the noise out of camp is that Hurts isn't doing a lot.

His contract means he's there in 2021 and is difficult to move in 2022. Good chance they will pick at 4 in the draft, so could get the 3rd best QB who ironically is another kid from North Dakota and bench Wentz or sign Ja'marr Chase who is supposedly the best WR to come out of college in a decade and have nobody to throw it to him
