No at the start of the tournament the teams I did not want to win included France. Yes they have talent but they have also had the rub . Let's prepare for the euros

And Russia get great credit for an awesome tournament . Best in my lifetime by far

A lot of guff being spoken on comms about this being the start of an era of success for France, a) Spain/Germany (just to pick two) won't be that bad in the next two tournaments and b) they didn't look that special, good and with plenty of individual quality but they're not going to go down in history as an exceptional outfit like a Holland 1988, Germany 1990, Spain 2010 or whatever. They've had a better team than that fall off a cliff out of nowhere in this century too. Football moves quickly.

To be fair to them they have reached the final of the last two major tournaments they have been in. They clearly have a ridiculous amount of talent. Just a boring manager - who will now keep his job!

Spain's best performance of this tournament was their first game against Portugal. They steadily played poorer with each game. Seems that Lopetugui had set the team up for the first game and Hierro went with that, after that things went downhill. They would have gone close if Lopetugui stayed on for me.
