The R.I.P. Thread

Gerard Houllier passed away last night, aged 72.

I saw that earlier - scumbag comment.

As much as I don't like Piers Morgan either, this sort of shit minutes after a bloke has been announced as dead is just horrific.

RIP Jeremy Bulloch who played Boba Fett in Star Wars. I met him at the same Comic Con as Dave Prowse. Although a Spurs fan he told me of his admiration for Wolves when he started going to games in the late fifties and how he always expected us to beat them.

John Edrich at 83 - England & Surrey opening bat & a very fine one.

In the days before protective helmets to watch him play against some of the most fearsome fast bowlers was a joy. Over 5000 runs for England with a top score of 310 for the national team.

Didn't he once bowl all day unchanged in a test match in the W.Indies?
Not so sure about that one. His South African connections (his wife was S African and he had played for Western Province) led to the 2nd rest being cancelled.

He was (in)famous for averaging 2.5 appeals per over!

One of those people you thought had died years ago, or was just a made up name to sound exotic, fashion designer Pierre Cardin has died aged 98

I had a lovely array of his lime, pink and lemon coloured jumpers in the mid 80s

Tommy Docherty has died at the age of 92 following a long illness, his family have announced in a statement.

Strangely just watching the BTSport documentary of United's '73/4 relegation. In terms of his time as Wolves manager, today is not the day
