The R.I.P. Thread

Golden Axe was ridiculously hard.

A friend of mine built a mini arcade machine with a simulator in it with Gauntlet, Golden Axe, 1942, Jet Set Willy, Ghouls and Ghosts, Street fighter and hundreds of others.

Made several old men very happy.
Nah Golden Axe was easy - just select the Dwarf and hack the shit out of everything.
I had a combo cartridge with Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe and Shinobi on it.
Now Shinobi.... that was hard

Is it bad of me to say we need another celebrity death?
Not Dead Yet, but you can tell Sky Sports on Twitter are ready to push the obituary button for Pele.

If you see interviews with Phil Collins now, you'd think he hadn't got long left!

Sad but he has been very ill for some time with little quality of life.

Died just 6 months after Saint

RIP

Great player and I found him entertaining alongside Saint.....not that old but not much quality of life in recent years.

R.I.P part of my Saturday football growing up with him and Saint. I liked it because they didn’t take themselves to seriously. As a player far to young to see him but his goal scoring stats are up there especially for England 44 goals in 57 appearances.

The picture of him with Harry Kane after his second stroke really shows the deterioration in his quality of life in the last years. He was barely there in mind.

A brilliant striker and great pundit. His Release the Bull t-shirt at Italia 90 was stuff of legend.

sadly not a surprise given his recent ill health.

i loved reading about greaves when i was kid going through football manuals. he must be the greatest finisher the country has had. his stats speak for themselves and who knows what they'd have been but for the drink. great that he got the tv career and maintained his love for the game.

Sad to hear about Greavsie, although as others have said probably not much quality of life towards the end.

I grew up with him and Saint on a Saturday morning, then on Central Soccer. I remember being amazed when my dad told me he was a great striker in his day, my little mind couldn't understand how a fat bald man was once one of the best strikers this country had ever produced.

He always had alot of respect for Bull and bigged him up plenty.

The 2 best goal poachers I’ve ever seen were Gerd Muller and Jimmy Greaves - sadly they have both departed in the last few weeks.

When they cancelled his tour this week it sounded like it was a matter of time.

Yep really sad day as a OFAH fan sad to see so many of actors who played the parts not around anymore.

Ah fuck.....Alan Lancaster........for me the Quo went down hill quickly after he left.
He looked quite unsteady when they did the reunion a few years ago for Hello Quo
