The R.I.P. Thread

Crikey, was just talking about her while watching Top Gear on Sunday - she was always so full of life.

She was great, the episodes where she told Clarkson she could get round the 'Ring' quicker in a van than he did in a fast Jag and the episode she did were classics

Ex Shrewsbury player and brother of Phil, Steve Jagielka aged 43. Tragically young

She will always be the Queen of the Nurburgring. A stunning driver and made bloody brilliant TV too.

My daughter had her wedding reception at Peter Lorimer's pub, The Commercial. I met him on many occasions, a really geniune nice guy.

Still remember Dickie Guy saving his penalty. It’s the keeper in me .

Frank Worthington, 72 after a long illness, also had Alzheimers for years

He claimed to have scored one of his best ever goals against Wolves at Molineux, I think for Stockport.

The problem was that I, like most others in the ground didn't see it due to how foggy it was.

RIP

Should have played more for England but was a real maverick! RIP Frank

My first game! He scored at the North Bank End and of course the majority of Wolves fans were in the South Bank and couldn't see beyond the penalty area at that end. Those in the JI I doubt could even see the pitch at all. No way would that game go ahead now

IIRC this was a mid week game. Remember being in the South Bank too!

Worthington, like Le Tissier, was never going to get many England caps as he didn't play by the same rules - exciting player to watch though (only 2 yrs older than I am as well!)
