The Race For The Top Four

We have got more points away from home than we have at home

Hmm think that's a little unfair?

We're in a slump right now but we've beaten Utd and Spurs away this season, even the mighty Brighton 😉
Strikerless Brighton I'll have you know.

We were fully merited against Utd and Spurs I'll give you that but against Wham, Palace, Norwich and Newcastle our tactics were disgraceful 'shit your pants stuff'.

When Lage plays his expansive stuff we look good. Contain nonsense and we look appalling.

It'll be interesting to see this again at the end of the season. My bet is we wont.
Personally doesn’t matter where your points come from. Our regressive tactics tend to work more so away from home when teams come on to us.

Don’t get me wrong, we can and should be playing a better style of football. But if we get more points away from home than we do at home, and do well, I couldn’t care less where those points come from

False hope is a bitch
Our only hope is West Ham completely giving the league up for the Europa, which is very conceivable. They do have games against Norwich and Brighton between the semi and potential final though.

We also have to do more Villa type performances and less Newcastle.

Flipping to a weak Cyber tribute act.

Burnley away generally shit there.
Brighton has a classic 0-0 written all over it
Norwich allergic to scoring v them this season

8th is where we will finish. Personally happy with that all things considered

It's 50/50 between us and West Ham imo, man for man they're no better than us and we have a similar run in. We just need Bruno not to throw the towel in before we play each game. I'll be hopeful till it's mathematically impossible. We really need to beat Burnley to start with though, we should absolutely best them.

Maybe look at our season form which says we are doing okay. We have to beat the three weaker teams though as Chelsea, City and Liverpool will be brutal challenges.

It might be, but is there any way you might post without the arrogant put down style? It's been grating me for months now.

Strike down one doomsayer and another shall appear. ;)

In reality it seems the most likely answer is that we'll look brilliant twice more, terrible twice more, and meh twice more.

Consistency is just about the only thing separating us from the top 4. I'll take that, for now. Not sold on Bruno long term, however.

One win against Burnley isn't it since promotion? Right at the start of 2018/19. Lost away later that season, two draws the next, lost twice last season, 0-0 this season.

At Turf Moor D1L2 since promotion. In total no win in 5. We could win, but recent history and recent form would say it's unlikely. W2L4 was my prediction for the last 6 games

I think we'll beat one of Brighton or Norwich. That's it though.

Finish 8th which on the face of it is more than fine but the reality is we have more questions than answers come the end of the season.
