Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands

Group B: England, Iran, USA, European Play Off

Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland

Group D: France, IC Play Off 1, Denmark, Tunisia

Group E: Spain, IC Play Off 2, Germany, Japan

Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia

Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon

Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea

England could be playing Scotland or Wales

A decent draw - if Scotland or Wales get there it will be the last game for us.

Win those and and probably won't have as much on it.

Bloody England again. Ah well, with any luck it'll end up the same way as the last time we were drawn together in Group B.

And USA v Iran will be tasty.

Would rather have Scotland or Wales than Ukraine given the goodwill narrative that would be around them

Final paths (potentially) from Group B

Winner could potentially get Senegal last 16, France QF, Belgium SF
Runner Up could potentially get Netherlands last 16, Argentina QF, Brazil SF.

Definitely the tough side of the draw

I would be amazed if Ukraine even get to play the game against Scotland. I think they are realistically going to have to default as this mess isn't going away.

I guess it depends on how the players are mentally, both games are away so that's not a problem. Not sure how many of their squad play in Ukraine rather than abroad. If it's a large percentage then I still think they could play, but would be very undercooked.

Probably will be the Porthmadog pensioners instead then😉

A huge tranche of their squad plays for Shakhtar or Dynamo Kyiv. They won't be kicking a ball now and that has been some weeks.

Pensioners? What's that about, out of interest?

3 of the starting 11 effectively don't play club football any longer.

They aren't shit though. Hope you approach the match in exactly that mind frame should it occur.

Southgate gets chance to prove me wrong with that draw if he gets past France and beyond.

As said above it'll be our last game of the competition (no matter who we play) and if we're needing anything more than a point to qualify at that point then things will have already gone wrong.

Groups D and H look tricky to get out of but no real Group of death.

Tunisia and whichever other team gets in are rubbish. France and Denmark breeze through.

Portugal have it easy as well. Ghana and South Korea are rubbish. Uruguay are decent but their superstars are past it.

Good thing the matches aren’t played on paper, ay?
