The run-in

Tbf, looking at those fixtures, if we had turned a couple of results in to wins (Villa, Newcastle draws & maybe grabbed a deserved point v Liverpool the other night) - if we had put a run together against the likes of Sheff Utd, Fulham, Albion etc - we could still have made a fist of getting in the Europa spots. I think that's what everyone expected after we gave up our place in the FA Cup, but it hasn't really happened - even if our form has improved slightly.

Spiers seems to have failed to mention that Fulham’s next two fixtures are Leeds (h) and Villa (a). Hardly a gimme to bag a six point haul.

Are you Rudyard Kipling?

If i was a Newcastle fan, i would be shitting myself right now, although i think Fulham have the tougher run in. Its going to be interesting.

Newcastle travel to Craven Cottage on the final day, could be interesting!

75/76 season, we had some good results and some shit ones,we were relegated on the last game of the season. I was gutted. Incidentally Sheff Utd finished bottom that season. I know its going back a long way but it has always stuck with me,
Yea, the scouse bastards.... :ROFLMAO:

Tottenham, Burnley, West Ham, Liverpool, Arsenal, Leicester, Man City before they have a couple of "easy ones" against Sheff Utd and Fulham.
I wouldn't have said that was an easy run in!

Also Sheff Utd will be down by then so the weight will be lifted. Teams that have gone often find an upturn in form so it would be great to see Newcastle get a big fat ZERO from all the games before they travel to Fulham :ROFLMAO:

Ultimate scenario they need to win their last game by three clear goals, they win, but it's 3 - 1 :sneaky:

I guess I'm on my own in hoping Newcastle stay up. They'll be crap again next season, Fulham will be better

If Newcastle go down, i presume potato head Bruce will be gone, (im suprised he is still there). Blames everyone but himself for his teams inadequecies.

If we’re competing with Fulham or Newcastle next year then things certainly won’t have got any better...

We would just have to accept becoming the next Southampton.

No I am with you. Love geordies it’s Ashley and Bruce I am not keen on. Personally I would sooner Burnley dropped but that’s mega unlikely.

Burnley will be an interesting one to watch over the summer. New owners who have put the club in debt to buy them and surely won't settle for another season of Dyche dragging them away from a relegation battle just in time to make their season look okish.
If Dyche remains I would expect for the 1st time since he got them promoted he will be working under a little of bit of pressure.

I am not optimistic about the last three games at all. Can see us losing all three. I reckon we will get another 6 points and it will not be pretty even though we played much better against Liverpool and have done recently. We are still toothless in attack and I can’t see how that changes in the next 9 games.

Go and have a cup of coffee, you'll feel better and less like you're saying the same thing over and over again.
