The run-in

Andersen is way better than Tosin for my money. Good footballer, I’d spend 25m on him if was available to us personally. I’d then try to sign a younger option or a cheaper one like Ajer
They're both too slow imo. We have slow CB's already, we need the physicality and a bit of pace.

Badiashille/ Fofana/ Gomez type of player rather than the ball players in Andersen and Ajer.

Sign one of both types then :D

sadly easier said than done.

Fuck it, Baggie Bastards won again, surely not another great escape. Mind you Southampton were absolutely dire. Cup semis on their mind ?

Obviously its possible Albion could stay up but highly unlikely imo

They need a minimum of 4 wins from

Leicester a
Villa a
Wolves h
Arsenal a
Liverpool h
West Ham h
Leeds a

If they manage that fair enough,

As I mentioned on the other thread, they still need to effectively make up 9 points on Newcastle in 7 games.

So they need Newcastle to essentially lose every single time and Fulham also stay terrible BUT beat Newcastle on the final day.

And start winning at a rate they haven't even vaguely threatened to.

Won't happen.

If they double us than then can revel in their glory all summer whilst contemplating next seasons derby fixtures v Blues and Coventry

Hope to god youre right Deutschwolf, Cant see them beating Leicester or Liverpool, but they were never going to win at Chelsea.

Betfred will give you 20/1 right now on them staying up but I'd say the true odds are closer to 100/1, which is "won't happen" territory.

The red card changed that game completely, 5 of there remaining opponents will have something to play for. Ourselves and Villa will want a Derby win, Leicester, West Ham & Liverpool all going for CL.

West Ham have been cack at the back for the last 4 games (at least) but luckily for them the previous 3 games the opposition handed them a 3 goal lead

Are villa catchable?

3 points behind with them having 2 games in hand, one of which is against man citu

To a degree that's reliant on when Grealish comes back. Hard to not see them getting at least 8 points with or without him, so depends on how realistic you think it is that we'll win 4 of our 6

No. Two games in hand and they also have better goal difference.

Not beyond the realms that with a few right results we could not only get our revenge in the BCD, but also relegate them. That's what I'm looking for right now...(they will need to be 13 points behind 17th after the game)

Games in hand mean nothing (one of them is against City in midweek) and their form in 2021 is decidedly average:

LLWLWLWDLWLDDLWL (18 points from 16 games, we have 20 from 16).

However I would say no, it's hard to predict what we will do with any certainty and we're running out of players. What I will say is that they look even worse as an attacking force without their best player than we do without ours.

Of course we should have beaten them at Molineux rather than getting a suckerpunch at the end, and Saiss missed from inches out at Villa Park. There's your difference.
