She should have won Roland Garros, so I am hoping she brings that angst to the latter stages of Wimbledon. If she doesn't win, then my preferred winner would definitely be whomever wins the Gauff v Halep match up in the next round. I have a bit of a soft spot for Halep as she isn't exactly built like an Amazon.

Konta trying her best to mess up the first set of her quarter final. A string of unforced errors letting Strycova back into the set having been 4-1 up. 4-4 now.

She loses the first set on a tie break. 22 unforced errors in total. She has the game to be beating her opponent but keeps spannering it out of play.

Very poor game by Konta today. Should not have lost but it was an error strewn mess she served up.

Still, SF, QF not a bad run in the slams, and US hard courts are her best surface.

Over 12 months since a post in here, bloody covid.

Dont think we are far away from Murray retiring for good. Looks a shadow of himself and dont see him as the kind of guy who will turn up as a wildcard to get bombed out in round one. Such a sad way to go out
