The Tennis Thread

Good wins for Murray, Evans in the Aussie Open and a good win also for Raducanu against Sloane Stephens. She's had little in the way of tennis over a number of months so it would be hard to see her progressing much further. Halep awaits in Round 3 if she gets there.

French government have said all players must be vaccinated before they can play on French Open.

So Navak will have choice to make unless he wants to miss another slam.

German Chancellor also weighed in after the Spanish PM had spoken.

So the serial numbers of the Djokovic tests would suggest that the negative he declared on the 22nd December was correct, but unfortunately his positive that was supposedly on 16th December was most likely actually taken on 26th December. Meaning he had no test to prove recovery but they swapped it round to try and get round Australian immigration.

He is a bit of a cunt, really.

If proven to be true, wonder what his standing with the rest of the professional tennis community will be.

Just listening to the Daniel Medveded interview, the cunt strikes me of a self righteous arse hole. He's cried about the crowd not giving him support during points. Maybe when you're on the cusp of a record grand slam title and you'll get the respect of the crowd. The way he conducted himself to the umpire in the semi final oozes of cuntsoup.

All finished for Jo-Wilfried Tsonga today. Still gave Casper Ruud a very tough game but his body can't hack it any more and even today his shoulder gave out right near the end.

What a fantastic player he's been and a lovely fella too.

The freak that is Nadal has just won his 22nd Slam and quite frankly ridiculous 14th French Open title

The gap between Nadal and Ruud was startling.

Yeah, felt sorry for him towards the end.

What a legend Rafa is

I watched Swiatek beat Gauff yesterday. Another one which was completely one sided.

Nadal about to pull out of Wimbledon with injury apparently

It's a good job this year doesn't count...
