The Things That I Really Really DISLIKE Thread.

With the imminent roll out of more vaccinations there is a need for people to help organise - searching websites it looks as if I am excluded from doing anything as age range is 18 - 69 & I am just over that.

I'm healthy & take no medication at all (had to bin some paracetomol tablets as they went out of date) - not suggesting that I actually vaccinate anyone as don't have the background or qualifications for that, but any admin support or client care is what I did throughout my working life & they will need that as well.

What I do have is time to give, but seems that I will not be wanted and put in the vulnerable category.
is it worth getting in touch and explaining your situation?

Getting old......putting my jeans on this morning, got my big toe stuck in the little hole in the knee (worn out not trendy) spent 5 minutes hopping around trying to get it out, before crashing onto the bed, spent the next 5 minutes giggling

Lol hi Sue.

I was just about to say its lovely on Mash with some gammon or thick ham.
Hi Nick, hope all's well.

Hahaha, it reminds me of an elderly persons meal. Fish, mash and parsley sauce, something that can be sucked through a straw. Vile.

Welcome back PPQ.......not keen on Parsley sauce..... cheese sauce every day for me

Parsley sauce… the thought of it is enough.

A few years ago my cockney rebel insisted we revisited her roots and she ‘treated’ me to pie mash and liquor. The parsley sauce (liquor) is made from the stock of stewed eels and they do this weird flattening thing with the potato when serving too.

You never fully recover from an experience like that.

Cockney pie & mash is indeed shite. Crap square pies with minimal filling, the filling doesn't remotely match the sauce, and the sauce is awful.

I mean it being a regional dish in itself is ridiculous. Excuse me, I think I know what a pie is despite never living within the M25.

Never had pie and mash, can't say the above is making me feel like I'm missing out on much. When I worked down there I used to pop out to Borough Market for lunch, after so many Thai curries, pulled pork, and other such fare I was glad to find round the back end of it there was an old unit that served up some banging Bubble 'n Squeek, served with all the friendliness of good old fashioned cockneys looking at you like a peice if shit but it was well worth it.

That looks rank. Shite super smooth mash like it's out of a packet, and way way too much parsley sauce.

Pie and mash (east end version) is one of the most overrated foods going. Being from just North of London have had many people sing it's praises, but "you need to go to the right places".
Took a trip down to supposedly the best place. It is less than average. Stewed eels were nice though...

That's an oxymoron, unless they make is solid enough so it just slides off the plate into the bin, I can get my head round weirdos that like sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower etc, but cabbage....... :)
