The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

1) Congrats
2) Fook off is that the Amy we did the fund raising for!! Amazing....beyond feeling really old right now (but not as old as Grandpa leeds) I am so happy for Amy.
I'm happy to report that Amy has now reached her 21st birthday. It doesn't seem like 20 years ago that she had major heart surgery.

Congrats Peter, about time too!

That's fantastic Phil

He played first verse and chorus of my favourite track. My mate who arranged it knows me well. Apparently Dave Mustaine does the same but it’s £150 for a few words and he doesn’t play. Max is cool as fuck though.

Just got a cracking early Christmas present. Cameo video with personal Christmas greetings from Max Cavalera who used to be in Sepultura (been a massive fanboi since their first album). Totally awesome!
Pal of mine got a birthday Cameo from Blothar, the lead singer of Gwar. He was wearing the full outfit, recorded in what looked like a flourescent cave. Was trippy to hear him congratulating my mate on the birth of his kid and his engagement etc

Was reading a piece about a family where the builder had done a runner and left the job unfinished, then I came to this
"The couple's four children, Heathcliff, eight, Violet, six and twins Azrael and Varian, five, are not allowed downstairs"
Do you think he did a runner because one of your five year olds is named after the Angel of Death ??

Lucifer is now more popular than Trevor or Nigel when it comes to parents naming their children.

Went to our local last night for their Christmas bash, a bit risky probably but went anyway. Great rocknroll band, cheesy singalong Christmas songs, a few drinks and a lot of old friends...it was a blast. Fantastic to see people just having a good time, letting their hair down after the shit we've all been through.
Obviously we all might come down with Omicron now, but fuck it. I am a bit nervous that we might miss Christmas day with the kids but what the hell, we'll have Christmas day in January if we have to.....assuming we survive of course😃

Similar reasons for going the football yesterday, can see us being back in lockdown soon so thought fuck it.

Been estranged from my kids for more than 6 years - in last year or so had some contact with my daughter (16). In last few months, contact started with my son (18).

Took them out for lunch today - was great. Topped off by my lad, who I took to Molineux when he was in primary school but then drifted to Man City and Cov (they live there), saying he now followed Wolves again because of his dad.

Nice one, that's excellent news

Wasn’t expecting to get to a game until February, but just bagged a couple of tickets in the BW upper for Watford on Boxing Day.

Big thanks to those that have been shouting out that tickets can be had if you dig deep enough. To be honest after attending a couple of the Europa games, then the whole Covid thing, pretty much switched off to the possibility of getting tickets and eventually just stopped looking.

Who knows what the prospects of attending games for anyone is going to be in the near future so make hay while the sun shines. Cheers guys. Really looking forward to this one.

In the week leading up to the game you can find tickets almost every day. Particularly from the Friday onwards.

Ouch!!

Coldplay announcing they aren't going to release anymore new music, unfortunately only comes into effect in 2025, so another 3 years of ploddy dirge to be inflicted on us

Yeah, that hurts.

But, buying a ticket just a few days beforehand against a backdrop of postponements and chaos was always going to be something of a gamble.

Just hope the FA get a grip of this. It does feel as though the tail is wagging the dog. It should be up to the FA to decide the criteria and tell Clubs when they should play, and not for the Clubs to decide what best suits them and tell the FA when they cannot.

The wife has made stilton soup, I now need to find how much I can eat before I get sleepy :)

New half man half biscuit album just announced
