The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Congratulations!
Great having a job / not being out of work, earning money, self esteem and all of that.
Sounds like you did it before?

Another storming weekend on the sports front (wolves aside)

My U9s team played out of their skin at another tournament winning 3 and drawing the forth.

My eldest was on soccer duty and bagged himself an absolute thunderbolt in a decent victory.

And finally Wigan are through to the semi final to face St helens the day before my birthday. Would travel to it but I've got commitments for that day.

So all in all I've been able to forget that shitshow on friday.

Oh and I'm also away for the week with the family in the Peak District, lovely

Thanks for asking :)

Going back to being a Traffic Manager, for BIFFA Waste, start in the morning, seem like nice people and the money's Ok but the hours are odd !
Someone needs to sort them out, hopefully your the man Paul. They’re currently emptying a week late and on one occasion claimed they’d emptied our skip but when they sent through their google images they’d emptied some one else’s!
Congratulations by the way!

Always nice to see some good news!

A friend of mine has booked a round of golf for us next week.
I haven't played golf since 2019. I can't recall the last time tbh, it was probably with my dad, who I suspect lockdown ended his golfing days sadly.
But as well as looking forward to a game, I am looking forward to seeing my friend. I know he's had a tough past 2-3 years, had some health issues too. Contact has been sporadic, as have replies to texts, but I know he's a good person, and being able to catch up will be great!
Less happy about the price increases since lockdown, but expect it'll be worth it in the long run...

Enjoy the day with your friend, there will be plenty to talk about, even if ya putting is crap 😜

Who knew, today is Cake & Cunnillingus Day.

I'm off to Tesco to buy some Cherry Bakewells.

At last we have a victory!
Our kitchen bought in Ikea and completely assembled by me, after 9 years was showing signs of wear and tear.
some corners had slightly delaminated and some damage near the tops of drawers. We raised a complaint over a year ago and after speaking to 19 different people several of them twice (based in their call centres in Sheffield and Peterborough, I finally got a number to contact the kitchen dept in Dublin. Contacted them yesterday and after checking the 15 photographs we sent in, they've agreed to replace the whole lot free of charge!
Unbelievable they have a stunning warranty...
The solenoid went in my shower last week and I had to pay €40 for a new one which I fitted myself (saving a call out charge of €90!)
I had to pay €40 because it was 3 months out of warranty it was just over 2 years old. gets used 4 times a day.
My kitchen drawers get used dozens of times a day every day and the warranty is for a stunning 25 years!
New kitchen coming!
Happy boy
