The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

This makes me happy, angry, relieved, guilty, and sad.
Our mobile phone bill has been a LOT higher for two months. Previously our carrier would warn us if we used too much data, but not anymore. My wife understands this stuff much better than I do so she blamed me last month and I accepted it is my fault. Yesterday she found out it is her phone that has been using the extra data. She is home all day and always using her phone. We had to replace our router a few weeks ago and neither of us realised that meant having to reconnect our phones to our network.
I am relieved we have fixed the problem, but part of me is happy that my wife is to blame. So I feel guilty about that. I am angry with our phone carrier for not notifying us about the extra usage, and for not understanding that seniors are not as tech savvy as kids. I am also sad - my wife has depression and this has not helped her.
Oh, mate. They do understand that. Only too well. Fucking leeches and manipulators, the lot of them.

I guess this can go in multiple threads...
Happy - found 95 quid in a wallet in a drawer last night, which will come in handy next week
Cost of living - probably won't go very far!

Great effort, maybe it's not too late for me after all.

I was out walking in The Lakes over the weekend, and there was a guy carrying a hod of bricks up every Wainwright during 2022 for mental health awareness. Respect was due.

Congratulations mate.

I'm sure it'll be an immediate culture shock for both of you but ultimately it's an hour and a bit on the train. It'll soon all settle down. Liverpool is a superb city these days.

My daughter did really well in her A Levels and is now off to Liverpool Uni. A mixture of proud, sad, encouraging and worried
Brilliant, Liverpool is ideal I'd say, my lad went to Chester, its far enough away so they get a chance to aquire some independence and learn life skills, but near enough for you to shoot over if she needs some support.

Shame the summer is ending - had an absolutely fantastic few months.

Got married about a month ago - one of the best days of my life - had a tremendous honeymoon in Dubrovnik and Perast in Montenegro, and just celebrated being in our new house for a whole year.

Been so good and I feel so content at the moment (cost of living crisis aside) that I've even started posting on here again.

Glad to see you back, missed your posting.
Congrats on the marriage and all the other good shit in your life.

Welcome back, glad it’s turned out alright for you, you were properly stressed about the house last time you were here

Got what in Montenegro?
Congratulations on your new life Ian.
Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

Congratulations, mate! Dan at The Waggon has missed you!

A local Spanish speaking TV station runs a regular segment on Amigos de Mascotas - friends of pets. Last week they featured my wife. It was very basic, two minutes long and she only speaks a couple of sentences but she was very nervous and so happy to have done it.

It is in Spanish - no idea why the link printed in German.

The M6 Toll Road.

Trip to MK reduced massively thanks to bypassing the Walsall - Brum section of the M6.
Always refused to use it due to the charge....Well I still do but work pay for it, so big fan.

Last trip I did via the usual route took nearly 4 hours. Today just over 2.

I was the same, had a proper "I'll never use it" rant. Now I use it all the time, especially at the end of our hols, last thing I need after driving up all the Mways from Dover is tea time from Coventry to M54.
