The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

3 in one place must be rare, guessing its a breeding pair and this year's youngster.
Been going to the Highlands for nearly 40 years and only ever seen 2

Mull has the highest density of Golden Eagles in Europe so if you're close to there then it wouldn't be a surprise to see them. Hard to gauge the scale from the photos posted there so they could just be Common Buzzards. Definitely not White Tailed Eagles as the wings are held in the wrong position.

4 eagles soaring overhead on the thermals today, an incredible sight. No idea if that’s an extremely rare and fortunate sight or if they are ten-a-penny in this part of the world. Either way, a beautiful thing to see.

Can’t imagine there are too many days a year when the lochs are like this, but when they are, just breathtaking:

That is a very good doggo.

Good man, which one did you do?
Just a practise run of the Stafford half route in a couple of weeks. Done a few other routes and always around 2 or 3 mins over, was great to crack it and actually felt ok at the end.

Brilliant, you'll probably find you'll shave quite a bit more off it on the day too, as the adrenaline, competition etc kicks in.

I ran the Worcester Half yesterday so wondered if you'd done that.

How’d you get on? Keen to do a few more races in the near future.

Wife currently happier than ever. It only took two things - an air fryer and an electric car (Chevy Bolt).

Bolt was much cheaper than a Tesla (and we are not big Elon Musk fans). 250-300 miles per charge but she only uses it for driving around town. She charges it at home overnight or for a quick boost there is a charging station close to the local Starbucks.

I considered leaving the wife for an air fryer, they're fab

After over 5 years, I will be bringing shooting back to my Air Cadet Squadron tonight.
The Range under the building can now be used for Air Rifle at 10mtrs and .22 Rifle at 25mtrs and I'm qualified to run both.
Tonight is a beginners shoot with the Air Rifle to make sure the Cadets have grasped the marksmanship principles and I'll be doing shooting again over the next 2 weeks... Can't wait

Not posted one of these for a while (its a bit dark in the morning now), but it was lovely out yesterday morning:

Certainly is early to be starting Olympic lifting

Finally got a external mic that bloody works now. Brought a Rode Videomic go and it recorded a bad amount of buzzing around electrical equipment, brought the Videomic Pro plus and its perfect, so yes Im happy now.
