Time to kick off the new threads.

To open

Fake Jota to Villa from Blues confirmed with Gary Gardner going t'other way

first (because bear hates it when someone does that)

Jovic to Madrid is the only other noteworthy transfer this summer but it looks like Ajax are in for a tidy sum for De Ligt with Barcelona and Man United reportedly tabling bids for him.

Buffon not taking up an extra year at PSG

Real to confirm Hazard and Mendy this week apparently.

Man City LB Mendy?

Tottenham have named striker Fernando Llorente on their released list submitted to the Premier League.

Please nobody suggest him coming here.

34. Probably pig fucking sick of being a back up. His Bilbao and Juventus days were some years ago and he hasn't done that much since.

Given his contract situation and the fact he was desperate to go there Chelsea have taken them to the cleaners

They haven’t. Good bounce but they can’t spend it. And their best player is gone. Calling that a win for Chelsea is fooking bizarre

Really? He was desperate to go, was rumoured that he would have refused to play, had one year on his contract that he wasn't going to extend and they've got £150m after very achievable add ons. I'd say they've done very well out of it.

Madrid and Madridista's have had enough of Bale and his failure to attempt to integrate. Still can't speak Spanish after 6 years.

Well it must be a perception then or he didn't get beyond that level from 4 years ago because it's what Balague said on the radio the other evening as to why he's not particularly well liked.

Haha that’s like a yr10 GCSE exam. Have a script and memorise it and say it in a woeful accent.

After 6 yrs living in a country with that much money and that much free time in a job where you literally have to talk to people you should be fluent. Particularly if you’re in a team where you are the only natural english speaker.

As TT pointed out it's 4 years ago.

It's not just about living there and having money, some people just aren't very good at languages. Though from the article earlier this year it's more of a confidence thing. The not Spanish speaking thing came from Marcelo IIRC, not entirely sure he's that renown for being honest tbf
