Prem to Prem deals end tomorrow. We can sign from EFL but the extended window is more to allow the EFL get deals when Prem teams are done and no last minute scrambling around.

Might be a couple of Champ to Prem deals but not many more.

Can Prem clubs still sign from Europe after tomorrow night?

I really wish UEFA or someone would just institute something universal.

I wish they'd bin poxy transfer windows off. We managed fine without them for decades. Such a waste of time and completely detrimental in so many ways.

No we can't buy from or sell to overseas as of tomorrow. Just the Football League, though we'll only be doing business one way in that respect.

Nope.

Angers are singing Boufal (back where he started off) from Southampton with the Ait Nouri money

QUEEN OF THE SOUTH LAND DOUBLE SIGNING

Scottish Championship side Queen of the South have landed two signings on Deadline Day.

Right-back Nortei Nortey joins on season-long loan from National League North outfit Chorley while Calvin McGrory also arrives as a free agent on a year’s contract.

The odd workings of Arsenal

This morning - The man in the mascot suit axed to save money due to the effect of Covid on the clubs budget (cue a million jokes about how much did Gunnersauris earn and that they should now give Ozil the job)
This afternoon - Seemingy have found £45m to buy out the contract of Thomas Partey. Covid not harmed the transfer budget

Thought he'd do better in the Prem. Showed the odd flash but a massive flop in the end. Attitude issues, maybe.

Looks like West Ham have terminated jack Wilshere's contract.

Who could have seen that his time there would mostly be spent in the physio's room. Some transfers just don't turn out like you think

No Carroll or Wilshere now at the club. Half their medical team will now be worried about getting made redundant in the morning.

Arsenal are apparently meeting Thomas Partey's release clause at Atletico.

I'd have him here, definitely.

He’s good but I’m not sure he’s worth what they are paying for him.

Arsenal desperately need a midfielder with some actual substance, so personally I can understand why they'd pay over the odds for him.

West Brom have to be very disappointed with their window, remember watching them last season thinking they'd need a lot of signings should they come up and they have ended up with the same players apart from additions of Button, Kipre and Ivanovic.

Doing a Norwich, aren't they? Using this season for the money with no real expectation of staying up, then using the influx to help prop them up for a more sustainable run later?

Yeah I understand that. Interesting to see if he can improve them as much as they need him too though. I've not been convinced by them under Arteta so far (not going to happen straight away of course).

Tim saying no deals for Buur or Miranda. So unless an EFL club fancies them in the next week we have Osky and Rodders in the first team squad....

Few rumblings that Benno will join Norwich in the next week though

I imagine Buur may get a lower Championship loan. Miranda can just be around in a Graham Stack role to keep morale high?

Rodders doesn't seem to be the type to take on the Head of Bantz role
