The Transfer Thread 2020/2021 - Everything not Wolves

I'm not going off on one again šŸ˜ƒ.
Jeff isn't qualified to talk about football. He's there to do a job, which is to be on the ground and do the day to day business stuff, which I've no doubt he's good at. 75% of posters on here know more about football than Jeff Shi does. We know who runs the football side, or if you don't your head is in the sand.

Yes but how many other 18 year olds can score a penalty whilst losing to Burnley?

We will finish above them.
I'd say that's doubtful, every interview Smith has given has been him saying how excited he is with the ambition of the owners and that they are going to have a serious budget this summer. This is a very good start for them.

We are in for another small (at best) net spend. A club being self sufficient is admirable in theory but doesn't work too well in practice in the Premier League when you're trying to bridge an already sizeable gap.

I think a lot of the general forum arrogance, particularly around what Spiers has been saying re Summer spend is going to get a reality check

If they get it done Buendia on the right, Grealish in the middle or left with Watkins up front will be a great three.

If the low net spend comes to pass the board/Fosun are going to see how easy it is for us to fall behind other also rans, much less the top 6 or 7. Considering the positions of Wolves and Villa at the end of 2018/19 and now that's pretty damning.

When I posted the figures a few months back I was just highlighting what we could spend not we would. I think a net spend of Ā£120m there or thereabouts would still have us within FFP.

I stated a net spend of Ā£60m (unless our gross spend was big from a sale) would not fix our problems and take us closer to Leicester et al., especially when about half of that would be towards the young loanees.

Guess if we can get decent wedge in for Mir and Vinagre then that Ā£20m signs a player

Surely Buendia would be where Barkley played, as the most advanced CM of the 3. Luiz holding, McGinn sprinting around and then Buendia.

And you lot said Jinky Prawnking and Cyber were negative? Off to slash my wrists at this rate !

That maybe the case, but it it was with a dismissive, won't happen context...and it would appear it is accurate

Iā€™m not sure id ever say ā€œthat wonā€™t happenā€ thatā€™s Paddyā€™s style. I just stated the facts on our financial position and said a low net spend would be dissapointing. I stand by that, It would be. Particularly if Jeff wants us to ā€œgrowā€

I think this Summer is pivotal. I think we can see the direction of travel. Patsy manager, little net spend. You've been had, but you aren't alone

Iā€™ve not been had by anyone. This is wolves, disappointment is the default.

It will just show their true colours. Iā€™d say they are the naĆÆve ones rather than any fan.

Whatever, you assumed we'd be big spenders this transfer window, it would appear we won't be

FFP is total bullshit, not many teams have been punished yet?
