Tielemans is an odd one. You'd think there'd be clubs trying to buy him on the cheap in the last 12 months of his contract.

Unless the player has made it clear he's only going to run his contract out and sign for someone in January.
Downing tools for a season is probably not the best way of selling yourself to a 'top club'. He was a shambles last season.

Maybe they should increase their ticket prices after all…

Think Tielemans has suffered the same as Neves. In the best of the rest category but the top clubs aren’t convinced he’s going to come in and be a game changer for them, particularly if it’s going to be a massive fee like it is for Neves.. No idea what Leicester are asking for this summer going into his final year

While I'm delighted Neves is still here, I'm amazed folk at United are looking at him and thinking 'nah, Fred and McTominay are better'

£50m, at least publicly

Well they know they aren’t. But they don’t think Neves is the “marquee signing” they need. Otherwise they’d have signed him.

Think the Leicester owners made their money from duty free and travel retail, so COVID has really hit them hard.

Forest's summer transfer dealings about to get what feels like their 50th signing as Neil Maupay from Brighton set to join them for £15m

Did I miss something? Since are Forest so flush with cash?

Rich owner and minimal spend the last 2 years so FFP not an issue

Rich owner who is more engaged and pumping money in now they have got promoted. Reminds me of Tony Fernandes with QPR.

Forest also after Aouar now as well.

I'd sell MGW and buy Aouar.

Chelsea bid £45m for Anthony Gordon. Is he actually any good? I've never really paid any attention to watching him play.

Tbh he just reminds of when James McClean burst onto the scene at Sunderland. Sort of fearless, direct, running at players with a few jinks here and there, but the directness eventually gets coached out of them/they get found out.

Gelhardt looks better, IMO.
Gordon is a winger/ wide forward. Gelhardt is a centre forward.

They're not even remotely comparable.

I'm not a fan of Gordon. He's a bit Adam Reach.
