The Transfer Thread 2022/23- Everything not Wolves

Don’t remember him being a key player for Lille in a title winning campaign being targeted for years for big fees? Might be wrong though. Don’t think anyone suggested Botman was elite either, as I said, wouldn’t be going to Newcastle if so.

Don’t think you could! 🤣

Won various titles for PSG, there are probably hundred of examples of players who have played at the top in France and looked like jokers when they got to the premier league; Falcao, Bakayoko are two who looked unwordly over there and pathetic here.

You’re right about Doherty though, he was proper shit.

Alan will be gutted.
He's a known name, that still carries a lot of marketing clout. Like it or not, for MLS, marketability to more Americans is a priority (rightly or wrongly).

In a way, it's not wholly different (in theory) from us (Wolves) signing Hwang.

I wouldn't want him in Charlotte at this point; he's been surrounded by too much drama since going to Madrid and we (CLT) don't need that right now.

Apologies for letting my parentheticals get away from me here.

He's literally there to play at half pace so he doesn't get injured before the World Cup starts in the winter. He has pretty much said as much himself. He would have been mad to sign for Cardiff as had been mooted

It will be interesting to see which way it goes with him. Could be Robbie Keane, could be Steven Gerrard. MLS Roulette innit

Looks like yet another player from the Championship we should have signed is getting a big move Danjuma to West Ham for €45m. I genuinely think I can scout from my tele better than this lot

Lenglet and Richarlison to Spurs both very close now. Building themselves a nice squad

I don’t see Richarlison actually getting that much game time ahead of Kane and Son, injuries notwithstanding.

It is a strange move for him. Kulesevski, Kane, Son is a very good front 3. They don't need the petulant Brazilian.

I guess their thinking will be if they go a decent way in the cups plus the CL games they could potentially play 60 games so should be enough to go round and rotate. I think the 5 subs thing comes into it too.

Richarlison is a good player to be fair who can cover multiple roles across the front three. Might struggle for time initially but four quality players for those three positions is sensible I think.

Lenglet has been off the boil for a while now at Barca I think so be interesting to see how he gets on. Clearly they couldn’t get Bastoni or even Bremer

Nearly 30. And can be quite frustrating though I do like him

Not a transfer but Salah has signed a new 3 year deal, so we have at least one more season of facing him.
