The TWF Horse Racing Thread

Lord du Mesnil is worth a few quid with 365 @ 25's NRNB for the National Hunt Chase.

It is going to cut up badly looking at those taken out today and with Mullins/Elliott's two framing the market, who'll be ridden by Patrick Mullins and Lisa O'Neill that leaves Codd and Derek O'Connor scouring for a ride as Glenloe, JP's only entry will run elsewhere. The moment one of them confirms their mount, they'll be slashed right in.

Sam Waley-Cohen confirmed to ride and now best priced 9/1. He's not quite Codd or DOC, but a very good amateur nevertheless.

Similarly, Willie Mullins only has two entered in the Triumph Hurdle, both of which are so far unraced since coming over from France.

Both are entered up at the weekend and are available at 40/1 NRNB - Hook Up and Burning Victory.

I'd be astonished if Willie wasn't represented at all in the race and you can guarantee they won't be anywhere near 40/1 if they turn up. If

Burning Victory now in to 14s at Bet365. Hook Up still 40s.

Burning Victory has some engine as her jumping was diabolical, despite winning.

Can't grumble at getting a run at 40s for a Willie horse, but unless she improves dramatically at her hurdles she's not going to trouble the judge.

Will be expecting the stake back on Hook Up, no harm done.

Well bollocks.

Every year I think just back Codd in the last, never do

Up ya fucking get!

I had both of them £2.50 e/w @40s.

Cheers Nando!!

Great shout Nando. I was on Goshen though and what a beast he is, not sure what Moore was doing at the last.

Was the horse, Moore did everything right. Sickener

Some bloody beast. As impressive, if not more so than poor Our Conor.

Looked bad for Jamie on first viewing, but the horse has clipped himself, not much he could do about it at all. Poor bloke.

3 x £5 e/w singles
2 x £5 e/w doubles
£500 profit
You da man!

(Thanks a lot, Nando. Hope you lumped on.)

Nice one, Tom!

Sadly had Lord win only but a few quid picked up from Burning Victory which has covered my otherwise horror of a week from a betting perspective.

If anyone fancies a wild one today - Play the Part in the 2.25 at Puncestown is 125/1.

Beaten 13 lengths by the current favourite last time out, but has a 26lb swing in the weights today with the same horse.

Trainer doesn't run many, but has a very respectable 7 places and 1 win over hurdles from 26 runs in the last 5 years.

Finished 10th out of 11 finishers...

It was a 125/1 shot - nowhere did I say it was a good thing, just an interesting and huge swing at the weights with the fav who is clearly still miles ahead of his handicap mark.

I had a £1 e/w regardless so cheers for the heads up. I had no expectations!

Envoi Allen 1/14 for his chasing debut today! Can't recall anything shorter than that first time out over fences.
