Ticket Prices 2021-22

Price rise on season tickets ??? is Moxey back ?

Moxey was a cunt and ill always take the opportunity to give that chancer a round of fucks but lets not forget we had a 14% increase for our 19/20 season tickets.

IIRC my season ticket went from £449 to £486 to £514 for 2017, 2018 and 2019 with another slated for 2021 which will likely take it to around £580-600.

What a prick Vinny Clark is. His comments are pretty much textbook Moxey - Deluded, smug arrogance. Reading between the lines Johnny Phillips thinks he's a nob

Not a fan at all.

Basically the message is "you've been locked in your houses for over a year so we reckon you'll pay anything, therefore we'll milk it for all it's worth".

They can bike it with that attitude.

Yeah, I really got this impression. Hate the way he kept hiding behind how our prices compare to other clubs.

as I’ve seen a couple of people say on twitter, if they are going to raise the prices to help “bridge the gap” there will be more pressure to make sure that is happening on the pitch too

The bit about Newcastle makes me think prices aren't going to go up 50-80 quid as they did they last two increases but rather much steeply than that.

We like to take the moral high ground with the cancer six but these corporate shills infest every Premier League club.
But he's "working class" so it's all OK. Who's to say what's affordable?

Dalrymple got the connection with the fans spot on, we paid out, he took our money, but did so with a smile and appreciation - or at least gave that impression. This lot come across like we're just here to be fleeced and if you won't pay it someone else will.

Sacking a popular manager and regressing to the fans being customers again will result in a combustible atmosphere next season if they don't get it right on the pitch early doors

A really small thing, I did not like the way Vinny Clark said "one for you, Russ".

They better start delivering top six football if they're charging top six prices.

The ground expansion has been kicked into the long grass unless the council / government give us a very attractive loan with plenty of clauses for "economic uncertainties".

Yeah it's all about maximising revenue, the conclusion to which is put prices up and improve hospitality areas - which is fine on a spreadsheet, but if they don't get it right they'll learn pretty quickly that customers aren't as loyal or patient as supporters

Are they looking at the waiting list and thinking if you don’t want it someone else will?
Price hikes do nothing more than to whittle away the capability of more people to purchase tickets.

I've got no issue with them rinsing the corporate element. The regular fans are what makes everything tick, you price them out and it all falls over.

I'd say so, it looks like they're thinking that they have more demand than they can supply therefore can charge more

And as I've said before, that's hokum (the thinking, not anything you two have said...well not today anyway :D )

Man Utd have a waiting list that vastly outweighs ours. Like Vanessa Feltz vs Kate Moss outweighing. Bet you I can get a single ticket at Old Trafford for most games if I want one (these days, you couldn't when they were properly good).

The problem is Old Trafford holds 75k. I don't think Fosun care who they price out as long as demand outweighs supply. You've said before that the waiting list is a bit of a red herring and I agree to a degree but I bet the price increase still won't price enough people out that they'll have empty seats and as long as Molineux is selling out they'll continue to price tickets like this unfortunately

Most people went on that waiting list when we were either about to go up in 2018 or had just gone up.

Since then we've lost the novelty factor, the manager, one of the star players (with possibly one or more others to follow this summer) and we've just had a shit season. You wouldn't get a massive clamour to take up their generous offer of a massively expensive ticket.

Well at least you are now giving Doc the respect he deserves 😉.

They probably aren't expecting capacity attendances next season with an element of social distancing still in place so they'll get whatever they charge, it'll be the season after which bites if we aren't top half with Top 6 on the horizon

Russell Jones comes across a wee bit better than Clark but does he seriously believe that millions of Mexicans now support Wolves as their main team?! And even if it were true, what does that translate into financially, I don't get any money when people follow me on Twitter and I doubt Wolves do either. And what about when Raul leaves, he's 30, he isn't going to be here forever.

That's Italy and Mexico now boxed off

They also talked about demand from people who can't get to games now incl. folk from abroad.

There will be people who want to go to games who don't want a season ticket. Currently, these people struggle to get tickets.

I think there will be more demand than tickets available unless the prices go crazy
