Tickets for Everton at home are gone except Billy Wright lower. Is there a chance some season ticket seats will become available between now and the game?
Keep an eye out for the bottom half of W3 as the game gets nearer. They're often hospitality/media seats that become available late. I went in there for Man Utd bought on the Friday night before the game, and it was great seats.

I think they release the non take up of corporate on (or at least around) the Wednesday morning before a Saturday/Sunday match, not sure if a Monday match will be the same though and sth non attendees seems more random so probably just get released when someone cancels.

I know the current system/prices have annoyed many but we seem to be able to get tickets for league games much easier than previous campaigns. Got ours this morning for West Ham no problem whereas 19/20 season we didn't get to any league games (EL Cup games made up for it though). Dunno if it's the price increases or the new membership system, maybe a combination of both?

Lack of novelty more than anything, I'd say.

We're now a semi-established (in as much as we ever can be) Premier League club who probably won't make Europe and probably won't go down. We're in a current cycle of not spending much in net terms on new players. We've been up there for pushing three and a half seasons, if you wanted to go then you will have done by now. It's not that exciting to those who in bald terms, don't actually care that much either way.

It's always been a fallacy that you can't get tickets anyway. It also underlines why the club and Spiers are stupid if they think we actually do have tens of thousands of fans actively waiting to pay £600+ a year to watch us.

Members don’t buy for points anymore too. Got a few member friends who used to buy every week to ensure you’re top of the pile (much like away tickets…) Now they use their “member plus”, for the big games and then watch the others on TV, stream or go if they wish, because as you say, availability is there if you don’t mind spending a small fortune in the BW.

You could argue the membership change is good as it stops the closed shop, or you could argue it’s crap because games aren’t selling out and fans have become picky.

It's crap because it gives with one hand and takes with the other, and then on top once people find something else to do with their spare time and money, they don't come back particularly quickly.

The club don't care though. It's plain enough from the messaging (they are at least consistent in that respect, I know they couldn't give a shit who can afford what and when, just that someone can for now and they'll kick the can of "what happens when they don't" down the road. Which is short sighted at best, but what can I do)

I think they are in for a big shock next season - perhaps they believe all the social media moaners claiming they’d love to have a season ticket….

So if I've got this right. Vinny implemented a scheme to effectively charge people more for going to the more attractive games. Due to understandable criticism he had to cancel the charge whilst keeping the scheme, the result of which is we are struggling to sell out games - even though the capacity is down by 1k due to the temp stand being out of service?

Marketing genius

I think there will be a churn next season on the STs holders, but still a waiting list (albeit much reduced) I wouldn't be in a position to purchase if it was to drop down to me and my sons

I've gone to 3 games so far this season, if it was still on loyalty points I guess I would be a couple of games more. I haven't lined up any more games at the moment and thats unusual. I am pretty busy at weekends and I'm not prioritising games at the moment, not getting loyalty points I suppose plays some part of that consideration.

TBF I'm looking at a Wigan Warriors ST, much more appealing in terms of cost, just got to work out how much I would realistically get to go.

The main reason is that bar the super members everyone else is in the same scrum on the same day as loyalty points appear meaningless. So if you want to be sure you get in the queue at 10am on that day and lo and behold you will get a ticket. Micro has had no problems for any game.

After the scrum the tickets left are the ridiculously priced or the poorly situated, and there isn’t a huge incentive for casual fans to go for it.

Its not really difficult picking up the odd ticket, and that really hasn't been an issue for the past 3 seasons - trying to get 3 together has been more challenging, although this has eased as the season has progressed. It was Brentford that I missed it by an hour and couldn't get 3 together, whilst Newcastle was pretty easy even a couple of days beforehand

Del and I were discussing it briefly the other day on another thread, it's also not going to play out well for them (assuming we remain more or less where we are now in the league, they'll get away with it if we're somehow doing way better and chasing Europe, doubt we will be though) when the accounts get published and it's right there in black and white, the club made money which we just didn't feel like spending and all the talk of FFP was nothing more than a bare faced lie.

Playing with fire with their approach on a lot of fronts. Lucky for them that we've ground out a few points recently.

I have a cynical view that they'll have paid down some of the Fosun loans to net it off.

They can do that if they want to. It's money that can be called in at any time. It's not a good look though.

Surely no one with any common sense is still buying the FFP argument for not spending?

Why wouldn't we? Our Chief Exec looked down the camera and told us it was so in the Summer. To not believe him would be to suggest he's a bullshitting prick, which clearly isn't the case...If he were then we'd need to challenge everything else he ever says. I mean he watches the U23 and womens games so he's a straight down the line kinda guy...right?

He then told us at the end of the window, via that Spiers piece, that FFP was not a constraint to summer spending. It really does beggar belief.

Is anyone smart/bored enough to work out roughly how much profit we will have made when those figures come out? Because we made 20m when we spent the most on the first year. So if numbers are getting relatively back to normal after covid, it will be quite a lot right?
