Vinny Clark:
From a ticketing perspective, we are looking forward to welcoming bigger crowds back to Molineux next season. One topic that is high on the agenda currently is ticket pricing and I feel it's important to be clear that following a lot of work benchmarking against pricing structures of our peers in the Premier League, a realignment of pricing is necessary to bring us up to parity with clubs that we believe offer a similar value proposition. I appreciate that price increases are never popular but our commitment is that they will be fair. The intention is never to be overpriced, but in order to remain competitive, our matchday revenues are crucial and being in line with other clubs of our ilk is something we have to be able to do. Season ticket renewal information will be available at a time when we have greater understanding of what next season looks like in terms of Covid restrictions as there are still many unknowns. We will be on sale as soon as we are able to, and I sincerely hope to see a full house at Molineux as soon as possible.

They can go fuck themselves tbh. They were already too high.

FFS, if they carry on with no U12 tickets as against Utd that'll be me out.

If they raise match ticket prices above £40 they can go swivel.

As I posted a couple of weeks ago clubs aren't expecting full stadiums next season. Let's say it's 20k, they'll get that every week even at the Utd prices. It's cynical but it'll work from a financial perspective. In terms of goodwill, then I think they would need to have a very good transfer window to not lose that

If they're realigning prices to clubs of similar value proposition....then surely prices will come down?

They're playing a dangerous game only looking at it from a financial perspective. When you add up the season we have just had, losing Nuno, noises about losing key players and now raising prices - it will only take a bad start to this season and things could start to turn very sour.

I think this is yet another misjudgment by the club when this pandemic has hit a lot of people in the pocket.

Ah yes the bloke who sat hunched forward to try and hide what a fat git he was because he was talking to a pretty girl.

On the basis that Matchday Income isn't critical to the club when you are in the Premier League I find it odd that they are willing to upset their fan base for a minor uplift of revenue.

In the long term they can plan to raise prices, communicate it in advance alongside other clubs etc and it is a far easier sell for them.

There's a season ticket comparisons thread on Football Forums so will jot down the prices here for each club I can find. Bear with the asterisks as there are alot of conditions with different season tickets

Arsenal* - £1250
Brighton** £545-770
Everton (start at) £420
Palace £550
Leeds £470-710
Leicester £360
Man City*** £299-800
Yernited**** £532-950
Norwich £500 (so called cheap seats)
Southampton***** 530-999
Spurs*** £807-£2233
Watford £493 (mid range)

*Arsenal fans play for 19 league games and 7 Cup games. If they don't play the 7 games at home they are rebated.

**Brighton have negotiated with public transport to assist fans getting to the ground via train and bus by showing their season tickets

I’ve just checked and my train fare would be £7.60 for a return, so very simply, I’m saving £144 in travel expenses per season meaning my season ticket cost is effectively £400. I think that’s very reasonable.

*** Limited availability of these lower prices)

**** United supporters are auto enrolled with no opt out onto the automatic cup scheme where they are railroaded into buying tickets for Cup competitions

If anyone is unable or unwilling to attend an FA Cup or Cash Cup game there is no mechanism for selling the ticket on to someone else, so the seat will remain empty. If the club attempt to take payment from your bank and can't because your card has expired they will suspend your ST if it happens twice, and you will only get it back after you've paid for both the matches you missed payment for, even if those matches have already been played.

***** Southampton have recently increased one of their ST's year on year price by £250

They've also shafted the season ticket holders in Block 31. £999 renewals, up by around £250 from last seasons renewal price, £1,149 for a new season ticket holder, you have to be mental to pay those prices. The selling point from the clubs POV is that they're installing padded seats in this block of the ground to enhance the match day experience.

An increase in prices also feels like it's exploiting the season ticket waiting list. The club feel they can raise prices because people will still pay it.

The last thing they need is pricing out the legacy fans for band wagon jumpers who will turn on the team
