Also inclined to think we will see the OP's line up (& DW really good to see some writing back from you)

First proper trip back up since last March (don't count the MU game at the end of last season as it was a weird experience with only 4500 in - plus it pissed down and everyone got soaked). Sat night will be like a kid's christmas eve in anticipation.

Will be shown here in Sweden on Viaplay Extra

Getting a dreaded feeling about tomorrow although it's going to be interesting if Wolves set up in the 'Nuno shape' how Nuno has prepared for it. I get it's different in terms of what the players are being asked to do but it feels fairly similar.

It's the Nuno shape but not style. Under Nuno at our best we sat deeper and pressed when the ball went wide and attacked on transition. Under Lage we are pressed much higher with a lot more space in behind. It's chalk and cheese in terms of style.

Yeah I know but it's still the same players with the same strengths and weaknesses in those postions/shape. Will be interesting to see if Lage tries anything different, unlikely given the players and squad he has a available.

You worry that they can kill us on the counter like they did Vs City but at the same time I think we can get at them and cause them problems.

Feel exactly the same mate. Son/Moura on the beak could murder us, similarly I love the thought of Adama running at Tanganga, Dier, Romero with Raul in the box. Geniunely feel we could turn them over 2 or 3 or lose by the same margin.

Kane has travelled, that's him on the bench as a minimum

I'm still on the fence to whether Bruno can make us into something more than what we where, but i'm warming to the way he speaks.
And he's spot on for tomorrow. Wolves are never, and will never be one man. Just a collective that is WWFC.
This from www.wolves.co.uk

“I think a big, big welcome to him, to his staff, because what he did here it was really amazing. We can feel it. I saw that from the Championship to the Premier League and to play in the Europa League, four amazing years, so I think the fans will give him a big welcome because they don’t forget what he did. But after the whistle they will support us, to help us to win the match.

“Before the whistle, the fans cannot forget what he did here, but after the whistle, I think they will stick behind me and my team because we are working hard to give them success and continue to bring success to the club.

“It’s a good feeling when you come to a place like Molineux, and Nuno will feel the love from the fans and from the players because of the work he did here. But after the whistle, me, my players and the fans want to beat Tottenham, not Nuno, Tottenham. We cannot forget that.”

Tielemans and Hwang Hee-Chan are the latest names Nuno historically vetoed the signing of according to Percy this morning. Bit of pre game leaking going on it would appear

I'm not sure Tielemans would have chosen us over Leicester any way.

Yeah, I think we knew about Hwang anyway. I think someone who was at the club at the time had told me about that one. Tielemans would add up as we’d signed a few from Monaco at that point.

let’s hope their recommendations in the next week are as good…

Depends if it was in the summer or same window they signed him on loan. Plus, we finished above Leicester that season and Puel was their manager

In case anyone wants to read - it is paywalled, mind.

There's an item in there that, to paraphrase, suggests others in the club were annoyed they were not getting enough credit and/or Nuno was getting too much.

Considering the senior staff on the football side has seen considerable turnover the last couple years it would suggest that is coming from Jeff himself. And if that's really the case, considering the shitshow he's been presiding over recently, someone needs a sharp word with him.

Personally all the credit for me goes to Nuno and his team, leaking stories about "oh we were in for this player" caries zero weight with me currently whilst the recruitment looks so poor since he left. The earlier signing of Mosquera gave me hope we were going to be doing business early, since then very little. I can live with the secrecy and lack of news and frankly appreciate that, however I am not into the whole the transfer window is still open talk when they have had the time they have and the season has started.

Will you accept the club are right if they bring in three players at fees that are far less than were being touted in July, or on loan players that have become available late on as their clubs have not been able to sell them?

Let’s hope this is the case and clubs get desperate to let players go to get some much needed cash/wages off their bill. Risky though.

I don't know whether it will be the case. You would hope Mendes at least has a feeling which way the wind is blowing so I'm cautiously optimistic that by leaving it late we will get more for our money, hopefully a shit load more, but maybe that's wildly optimistic!

I can't help but think how much better we'd be with Olmo, Tielemans and Hwang Hee Chan rather than Silva & Semedo.

Obviously timing is off somewhat
