Johnson's peak approval ratings were some time before he got ill. They were in response to the Government finally taking some direct action and not letting 250,000 people into a horse racing meeting or allowing 3,000 people from one of the most virus-hit cities in Europe to fly into Liverpool for a football match.

In the last few days I have met two undecideds. Both female, both voted trump 4 years ago. One now hates him (though she still has a trump/Pence sticker on her car), but is VERY anti-abortion so struggles to vote Dem. I 'think' she will vote Biden, and Republican for everything else. The other is from a family of Republicans but is slowly becoming disillusioned. She watched the debate and was very disappointed in trumps behaviour. She might be leaning Dem, unless her parents can persuade her otherwise.

The good news is that there are no more Dems voting for trump.
