Villa 2-3 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I noticed the kid on the Vlog Quirk posted singing about it. In terms of times before birth it's the equivalent of me singing about something pre WW2
Yeah, cos that never happens 🙄

Villa fans mentality after defeat to another local club means let’s open the emergency history box and talk about 1982.
There was a guy on Trinity Road before the match with a replica that you could have your photo taken with.

Why was Bruno so muted, and looking back up into the stands when we scored the winner?

Seemed odd.

Can only imagine he was looking up at the big screen to see if VAR was getting involved.

HCH seems to have escaped criticism for Villas second. I can only imagine what would have been said had different players made that error!

He had loads on the matchday thread.. for the mistake and for his general play......you're just stirring

It’s a slightly fair point, imagine if Adama had done the same?

I don't think the Saiss and Hwang elements in the goals are mentioned because they are obvious. One gets rolled too easily in a position where he's not comfortable and I have no idea what the other was looking to do. It's fair to say post game Adama would have got more crap for what Hwang did, but that's because of his previous. We all have biases on players who've been here a while - good or bad

It's awful from Hwang (drop this HCH nonsense please, it's two more letters) but not *quite* as bad as it initially appears. He doesn't just pass it straight to a Villa player on the edge of the box as it first seems, he tries to play a square ball and it deflects back towards our own goal. Still dreadful mind.

Was away all weekend, didn't see a second of the game live, didn't even follow it from when we went 2-0 down to the final whistle (a nice little present getting back to the hotel room at 5pm and putting the scores on, hadn't looked at my phone), have only seen the fairly paltry MOTD highlights, so not much else to add. If you can't be good, be lucky I suppose.

Also easier to let those mistakes roll off of your back when we end up walking away with 3 points in that style.

If we had lost 2-0 or 2-1, I think their names would be popping up a lot more often here.

This is a good point but I have to reiterate Hwang and Saiss got absolute pelters in the matchday thread, as someone else said Adama gets it more often because we've seen it more often.
