- Set up was horrific. You cant have passengers at WB when you play a system as dependent on them like 532. Marcal is exactly that.

I honestly thought when I saw the line up either Donk would sit offer extra defensive cover and Neves/Moutinho would be in front of him.

- Goals conceded were awful. Saiss was rolled so easily and fuck knows what Hwang was attempting with the pass for the second. Poor as we were, aside from the save from Ings they didn't create much at all.

- Villa shit themselves in the first half when Traore had that run and shot, they did again and completely collapsed when we scored the first.

Thats the frustrating thing for me, not playing your best players or players in their best positions needlessly hands the initiative to the opposition.

Im obviously delighted with the win but there are faults that will need addressing, enjoy your evening folks.

I have been following Wolves for 53 years and cant remember a comeback like that, who gives a fuck if we were shit, it is the result that is remembered, not the performance.

We were dead and buried at 70, the players had visibly given up. Villa looked like they might go on and get a few more at that point….the fact we somehow then shithoused three goals and win from there makes even more of a mockery of the inaction from the manager before that point. Both teams were shit. Both teams deserved to lose.

Never thought I’d say this about a 3-2 win away from home in the prem but I’m going to forget that nonesense ever happened and have a beer or three.

Agreed we’ve played far worse, not when we have demonstrably better players sat on the bench while the manager catches up on his beauty sleep though.
