3 at the back doesn't have any advantages now. Kilman needs a rest. Not bothered whether it's Hwang or Podence. Neto isn't really ready, but pitch time will get him there. We'll have a fudge at right back for the last 20. Chiquinho would suit 442, but that's a bit too bold for me

I'd be happy to give that a try, any 2 CBs from 3 but I hear what you're saying regarding Kilman.

The times we’ve gone to a back 4 this season we’ve looked an even worse attacking outfit. But it has to be the long term plan.

Im dreading this game already. They are dreadful so you’d think we might actually score a goal but their front players can definitely cause us problems.

Don’t really know who to play. We don’t have many options. They are either injured, lacking sharpness, totally out of form or just shite.

Definitely Pod over Hwang, Pod can be infuriating but that’s better than Hwang who is the most beige player we’ve had for years.

We aren’t playing a back four so not gonna bother putting a line up with that

I dunno, I wonder after yesterday and his press comments whether we might see a reaction from Bruno this week and see a different set up/approach on Thursday?

If he's ever going to change it it'll be Thursday. We're safe and Europe is gone. I'll be pissed off if we don't go 4 at the back now. He's done it a few times in game so surely it's been trained to some degree so can't be completely alien to them

I don't see how Bruno can look at the last 3 games and think going 3 at the back with the existing players is a good idea.

The back 3 themselves look bad. Saiss has not looked the same since he came back from AFCON.

Poor Kilman has been getting worse since people started talking about his England chances and then he's had the Ukraine conflict to deal with too.

Add to that asking Jonny to be a WB seems too much for a player coming back from injury and RAN is another Bruno has thrown under the bus with his comments.

There is surely nowhere else to go other than 4 at the back.

Agree with all of this. However, I thought Jonny was our best player yesterday by some margin, not a high bar admittedly but he looked something like the player he was before.

I thought he struggled as WB and looked far more at home at FB. And as you say comfortably our best player in that position.

I'm in the minority on Chiquinho yesterday as I thought he was a bit shit. Bloody quick but a bit shit.

This but Pod instead of Neto - not sure the latter is fit enough to start again just yet. But, not a physio so maybe he can do another 60 or so

He didn't really do anything bar put himself about and actually made them defend him even if he didn't offer any real quality, I think the general apathy of the performance elevates his impact somewhat.

I do think he could be an option at wingback though, his crossing has been decent and he gets up and down the pitch. He'd be infinitely better than Hoever.

Jonny brought the ball out from the back well a few times, and it was great to see him back on the pitch (so maybe that clouds my, favourable, opinion).

In all of his appearances to date it’s been hard to draw any kind of conclusion on Chiquinho for me. He’s been put in to a few slightly chaotic or dysfunctional scenarios and not looked poor at least.

Chiquinho looks better than he probably is because he's direct and tries to do something rather than constant passing sideways and fancy flicks which seems to be how we approach breaking teams with a lead down

He comes on and catches the eye mainly because he gives no fucks, is direct and just barges into opposition players, but he hasn't provided much quality yet. Which is fine for now. There's something about him to work with, for sure

If Watford's front three perform like this again on Thursday night they'll have a field day on yesterday's evidence.

If their defence performs like this we will create bugger all despite them being a mess.
