Welcome Bruno Lage

Considering he apparently plays with two DMs in the middle we would be absolutely foolish to sell Ruben. Not saying Ruben is a DM, but he does the "dirty" side of the game well and turns over possession quickly which is what you need in that kind of system - Bruno should be building it around him.
I'm more encouraged that he wrote a book about 433 as per Spiers' article. Hoping that's the route he's going and Benfica was just the system he felt best suited the players rather than being wedded to it.

Not sure that's a mark of quality...

Definitely, using wife beater to front it is quite frankly disgraceful.

I wish him luck, but if you said we will be either finishing top half at the end of next season or looking for a new manager I'd heavily favour the latter
Depends on what the club do. It’s all rumours and hearsay.

Are they asset stripping to sell to buy, are they selling unhappy players, are they selling players they don’t think represent value anymore or in Neves case feel he has peaked here/owed a move for his service.

Then if they feel we can compete without being financially competitive then they are idiots and Bruno won’t stand a chance. If they are playing the long game then midtable on a low net spend with better football maybe acceptable

Welcome Bruno
Here's hoping for success for Wolves

I think we will be 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1.

I'd rather us be able to adapt to different systems than be stuck in our ways with one. Otherwise we'll get worked out (again) and be back to square one (again).

Welcome Bruno. Interested to see what this next phase holds.

As long as he has a plan for when we've got the ball, and a plan for when we haven't got the ball, we'll be OK

Welcome Bruno.

I've already gone on record to say I'm uncomfortable with this appointment. Haven't changed my views but will obviously give him full backing from the stands if I end up going next season.

Big, big summer ahead. Biggest of Fosun's tenure so far. Hope we act fast and give him every opportunity to succeed. The last 3 pre seasons have been a bit of a mess with Fosun's vanity trip to China, Europa League Qualifiers & COVID-19 causing significant disruption. This time around we need to do our business early and give the new manager a chance to bed in with a squad which has pretty much been moulded in another coaches image. Get this summer wrong and it could end up being a disaster.

Welcome and boa sorte. I'm joining the optimist camp, not least because it will ruin my summer if I don't. I'm quite looking forward to next season, in a watching through my fingers sort of way. I'm convinced we're going to set the league alight, though whether like a rocket launching or a fireball exploding is yet to be seen. Interesting times.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what did for Bruno at Benfica.

Didn't have the players to suit his 4-4-2 after João Félix left, got found out, reacted by playing players out of position within the same system and suffered some truly embarrassing defeats.

Very much skeptical but let’s hope we’re all wrong and this turns into a good appointment

Attacking football is such lazy phraseology. No point scoring 3 and conceding 4.Not saying that's going to happen, but attacking football doesn't necessarily mean winning football, unless you are one of those weidos who'd rather lose 4-3 than win 1-0?

So, am I reading this right?
You hope we fail in the coming season so that the new manager gets sacked?
Surely, if he is successful it will be great for the club or are you just afraid of people looking back at your negativity and calling you out on it? Or maybe you can tell us all you were right and saw it coming!

I REALLY don't get this stance from a Wolves fan and I'm disappointed to see it aired on here

No, he thinks it's more likely that he won't last a year than we'll improve on last season (which in itself, wasn't very good).

I agree with him.

I hope we are both wrong.

No Dan, he has written that he favours the latter. Had he said he "fears" the latter, that is different

Not going to bother with the rest of your post, but the answer to your first question is no and not really sure where you can get hope from that!
