Welcome Bruno Lage

Like us North Bankers will give a toss. We will quietly grumble and leave early

Yes, we have been fined by UEFA. As much as people think it's not an issue (and it's not as far the Premier League is concerned), unfortunately we're on UEFA's radar and we have to comply with their requirements following our breakage.

If UEFA have demanded that we have to at least break even every year for the next three as part of our punishment, then that's the FFP item they're talking about; not the FFP regulations per se.

"In addition, Wolves have agreed to report "a maximum break-even deficit of €30m (£27.1m) in the financial year ending in 2020 and to finally reach, in the 2021/22 season, an aggregate break-even result for the financial years ending in 2019, 2020 and 2021"."

Bruno's first day - notice in the photoshoot how they ask him to stroke the side of his face and his chin 'Nuno style' and those tight trousers were jeans but thankfully not with rips in them

It's been 3 times in successive days... I'm starting to get a complex!

When does our financial year end for 2021? Are we aligned to the calendar year or financial years?

No, we've got this season left. I think what DW was saying is the Championship losses are wiped out now for the PL FFP
Ah, that makes sense then. PL FFP is way, way less stringent than this agreement

Yep. Essentially we made Europe a season too early for our business plan. Still not convinced it's a genuine reason for what appears to be the current policy, but it's definitely a different dynamic

Next summer will provide the answer I guess. Given how weve haven't really made any losses over the last few seasons - the potential to go a bit mental next summer is there from an FFP perspective - not that I think we will mind!

It's always "next summer" reality is it's not happening.

Like you say it won't happen because Fosun aren't going to go "mental" they're trying to get by on minimal net spends.

Did you miss the stuff about the UEFA FFP agreement further up?

Right now the club have no desire to break that so their current strategy is understandable

They can still spend money without breaking the FFP agreement. We have £60m net to spend easy and still break even.

You can keep ignoring me if you want and say “but Jeff said FFP”, but it’s bollocks. We might not be able to spend more to make the allowable losses but we can certainly spend more than net £0.

It’s all easily accessible information. Just go and look at @swissramble or Kieran Maguire and fill in the blanks.
