Welcome Fabio Silva

Welcome to Wolves Fábio.

Very excited to see how good this guy can be. I've seen him play live a few times and while he's clearly still a slightly awkward lanky teen who was probably trying too hard to impress you could see the quality shining through. He'll have the time, patience and world class coaching here to really develop. In a year or 2 he could be something special.

Once again a 'bolt from the blue' signing. Our club really does play its cards close to its chest, doesn't it? There will be more planned, I'm sure. Let's hope they get over the line too.

Thanks for the insight. Certainly he has the potential to be special. Hope this does the squad as much good as it's doing us morale-wise

and another signing from Portugal while their Stock Exchange was shut...

I'm so excited by this despite pretty much all of my knowledge of him being FM based!

The last time I was this excited we'd signed one of my FM legends was when got Jota.

Well played Wolves. Let's have a few more now!

Still lots of dickheads on social media moaning we need a rwb, and Nuno still hasn't signed a contract, he's going to leave etc,

Very excited by this signing, although I know virtually nothing about him.
Assuming he is first team squad ready and initially will be understudy to Raul and mainly used off the bench. I thought a back up to Raul would be the most difficult spot to fill but this seems like a perfect addition.

“Our recruitment team have been watching Fabio since he played for Portugal under-16s and they feel he has always been the best number nine coming through his age group anywhere in Europe.

Yep...that's the stuff right there

There will be others - forget the noise on the internet

We will produce players out of a hat when no one expects them

We’re able to keep Portuguese youngsters quiet because 1) no English Journo has contacts there, 2) they aren’t household names here 3) Mendes is running it so there’s no member on the selling side to “leak”.

As soon as we bid for English based player or more established names it will be all over the press, like it has been before with Cutrone, AMN etc.

It seems like the perfect move all round.

As an 18 year old moving abroad, he gets to come to a club where a large number of the staff and players are Portuguese. We get a very talented young striker who should be ideal back up to Raul initially before taking over.

I think I agree with every word there.

Hopefully he's bringing his family over. As much as we have so many Portuguese players I bet he still needs that support in at least his first season. We have now gone to a new level of my Wolves supporting life, I'm now just not older than the players, I'm older than the players dads

He is so right. My eldest is at least eighteen months older than our record signing. I feel old.

Then I (and one or two others on here) become the Grandads!

Jeez you really are a miserable bugger.

Bit harsh that but prawnking- I do think you have been a bit precious over the last week or so, getting upset by the words and tone of people who either weren't worried or were too worried etc.
It's a football forum, people arent really paying much attention to their prose, whether they are worried or excited.

I've met about 80% of the posters on here in the pub before games and we take the piss, wind each other up and sometimes argue depending on the result, and at the end of the day, we all want the same thing - Wolves to be successful.

You seem obsessed with how we convey our thoughts on our transfers at the mo and it seems a bit precious for a football forum IMO
