Welcome to Wolves, Chiquinho!

Don't know anything about him. Can foreign teams still loan players after this month? Thinking he will be behind the 3 wide players we have initally and we still have Hwang and Neto to come back.

At 21 and the fee paid not much to lose but I'd be surprised if we see much of him initially.

Think it will depend on what he shows in training, Bruno has already shown if anyone impresses in training, they'll get a chance I.e. Fabio and Gomes, plus Cundle and Jordao (A little bit)

He's still going to be 4th in the pecking order for the wide positions to start with though and we still have Hwang and Neto to return yet.
Despite the fee, I don't think Bruno will have given a four year deal the green light if the scouting team didn't think Chiqi was at least ready to compete for a spot in the XI.

If it was a "will he be good enough, who knows" situation surely we would have loaned him with an option rather than immediately bought him outright? Or at least the club wouldn't be making it so public that he's going into the first team.

I think we may well bin off Hwang. He can also play centrally as is versatile across both wings. He will see action.

This. I'm not convinced with Hwang and hope we don't take up the purchase option at the end of his loan period.

I think going forward when we use Hwang it'll be as a striker in a 3-5-2. Hasn't convinced at all out wide. In fact the only good bits have been when he's got close to Raul and they've linked.

He looks and sounds positively starstruck. That will usually only go one of two ways: really really well, or really really poorly.

Could also just be that he's picking up English on the fly, too.

Fair play to him doing the interview in English. Hopefully we can give him the support to settle in, we seem to be very welcoming with Coady as captain and obviously helps how many Portuguese players we have

I didn't realize he'd played with Toti previously!

No idea what he's like as a player but he seems like a humble lad with a good attitude and willingness to learn and improve, which I always like to see. It's nice he's feeling the pressure and looks a bit starstruck, it's a pretty big deal signing for Wolves nowadays!. Hopefully Bruno can work his magic on him!

He speaks better English than Harry Kane. Wonder if he’ll bunk in with some of the other Portuguese youngsters.

Just remember Neto when he first signed. He could be a little nugget and at 3m the gamble is minimal. I am looking forward to him and Fabio leading the line in 2024 😉

You did ask the other day where Toti came from and I emphasised that he signed from Estoril. Slow on the uptake Alan? 🤣
