Welcome to Wolves, Francisco Trincao

Sounds decent enough, I have no recollection of him in the game against us and like all our signings I have no prior knowledge of him.

It is nice to see us flying under the radar with our transfer business transfers, it makes the rumour mill even more frustrating.

We appear to be doing a bit of business with Barcelona, hard to believe really.

Interesting that Romano didn't even get a sniff about it. He's not even mentioned it either since it was announced.

is he the finished product though like Adama? at 21?

Adama didn't even have an international cap until he was nearly 25, at 21 he was playing in the Championship for Middlesbrough having failed at Villa and you certainly wouldn't say he's the finished article now (if he is, then he's nowhere near as good as people hype him to be).

I would say Trincao is miles further on in his development at the same stage.

Ok, we will see if this kid creates more then..not in my world anyway

Traore is far too 'maverick', on his day he can tear people to shreds but other games he does absolutely fuck all, very frustrating. Having been a late developer internationally, do have to question why Spain have used him so little at the Euros, even when chasing a goal Enrique left him on the bench. One game he wasn't even on the bench

That's the spirit Fred.

I'm fairly sure he'll get more than two goals and two assists next season.

Pretty indisputable that Trincao has done more at 21 than Adama had at 21, no?

From reading the article Deutsch linked it feels more like he's the Traore replacement rather than an addition

come on, do you really think a 21 year old is gonna make a more impression than Adama? For real DW?

yeah, some better team will get Adama, he knows his value too

Yeah, Trincao has definitely done more by 21.

I mean debate over Adama has been done to death but I’m finding it amusing people acting like he should be in the Spain team. I kinda wish people would accept what he is; some act like he’s a world beater some act like he’s rubbish. For where we are right now, he’s a good player to have in our squad I think, and I enjoy watching him. He might be a fair bit more effective in a more expansive system but equally if we did get 30-35m for him, I won’t be as upset as if we sell Ruben

Eh? That isn't even the argument?

And yes I'm fairly sure Trincao is better in terms of end product, Adama has scored 12 league goals in his entire career going back to 2013 if we ignore B team games. Trincao is already only one behind him and he's nearly four years younger (didn't get to play in the Championship for a year either). The reason Adama plays for us and not an actual big club is precisely because he has no end product.

eeh, you would sell Ruben "not getting a cross in" Vinagre for the same amount as Adama..thought more of you you YW, Vinagre not good defensively either

he has end product, and he will have a lot more if his actual teammates can play football
