Welcome to Wolves, Francisco Trincao

I’m very excited to see Trincao in action. I hope we keep Traore at least until January as I don’t like the idea of still basically only having 2 wide players until Neto is back. Would like Adama to have the chance to play in a team where he has more than one person to aim for too.

We did play Adama on the left a fair bit last season too. He often looked better there as rather than the "run to the corner flag and cross to no-one" act (I'm not blaming him for that) he was actually threatening teams through the middle, which is when he always looks better. Problem is you can't put him up front because you'd never get enough goals, that isn't going to change to the degree we'd need it to.

Leaves your full backs a bit exposed though if we're playing a back four and those two are cutting in from either side all the time. Lose the ball and it could leave us in a world of trouble - especially if RAN is the starting LB, we should 100% sign him but we all know he still has plenty to learn.

My instinct is that we've brought in Trincao to replace someone on the wing. Whether that ends up being Adama or Podence is up in the air.

Adama would probably fetch a higher price and be easier to sell on, but Podence was... Well he wasn't very good last season. At all, really, in my opinion.

I know Podence was apparently playing through injury, but yeah, he was pretty shit for the whole season. Struggle to think of anything positive to say about his performances. I can't stand his cry baby playacting either. Which he does at least once a game. Get rid, keep Neto, Trincao and Adama if it were up to me.

He was fine before United away when he got booted, no foul, got injured and was never right afterwards.

He was superb away at Arsenal and at home to Chelsea, for instance.

Yes he can chuck the histrionics in the bin.

Don't disagree that the injury really hampered him, but even before then he was just as mercurial as Adama, IMO.

why, hasnt done anything right last year
Neto aside, Neves was comfortably our most consistently good player last season. Yeah he didn't score a couple of worldies, that seems to have made people think he was shit. That was always a bonus with Neves rather than the main aspect of his game.

No worries, Svenska, there's always room on the "Neves was a 6/10" bandwagon. ;)

I love logging on to find Fred has said something incendiary and threads have moved on several pages.

Neves was fine last season. He didn't bang in any worldies but he was our joint top goalscorer and had some really mature displays from midfield. Could we see more from him with the handbrake off? maybe. Will we get to? unsure.

I expect that's why he plays two DMs so that they can come across and cover that area on their side when needed.

I secretly hope Tuchel wants Adama for the RWB role and will pay through the nose for him

I'm sure I read Tuchel wants to move James to the RCB position because he isn't good enough on the ball

Sounds just like Neto too.

...what if we had access to some secret futuristic Chinese government cloning techniques and we just keep cloning Neto?

That's one way around FFP.

Or indeed the Neto interview on the site. Not sure what is going on there.
