I've heard from a very reliable source that he wants two more years but the club are only offering him one, he wants to end his career at Wolves.
Whoever's making that decision needs his head wobbling.
If he wants 2 more years then give him 2 more years you magoo.

Give him the keys to the city.

Sake, give him the keys to my apartment. Literally anything.

Can't wait to start next season with a midfield two of Dendoncker and Cundle. And then loan Cundle out to Grasshoppers without a replacement so Lage has a "tight squad".

Jeff would probably then sell Donck on the last day of the transfer window without replacing him as well...

This isn’t like when we wouldn’t give Paul Butler the 2 years. He’s still one of our best players, in a position we have no one else. If Neves doesn’t sign an extension between now and the summer then he’s on the market too.

In the hypothetical world he is useless in the second season (which wouldn’t happen, his presence In the dressing room would still have value anyway), then you’ve lost less than £5m in wages. The replacement will cost a transfer fee, plus wages and will in all probability not be as good. It would not even make financial sense to not sign him on, and the only way you’d think it would, would be if the club was run by total amateurs

If this is true then we are unbelievably stupid as a club and apathy has started to turn to anger. He's the most talented player I've seen pull on a wolves jersey.

Even if we were to phase him out in year two of this potential extension, he'd still be useful to bring on and help either control games or push for a goal.

Wages shouldn't be an issue for the club's decision. If it is then they're cretins.

Well that's fucking wank. He's one of our best players, and such a massive influence. We should be fucking thanking him for playing for us for another two years at a cost of £10m.

He may well need his minutes managing better going forward, but ffs he's so good at football

Would leave me completely disillusioned if we didn’t offer him a new contract. As in, it would be utterly bizarre.

Hopefully it’s a load of bollocks.

We all know most of the ITK goons are chancers, so vent you're anger if it happens not just because somebodies nan told a member of canteen staff..
You know It doesn't take a lot to get the oestrogen levels rising on here :ROFLMAO: In a year where Joao is moving back to Portugal to finish his career, Bruno is leaving every month and both RAN and Neves were being poached last transfer window, but Jeff, what a bastard !!

He has limited time left playing, but unless he really wants to go back and finish playing in Portugal then just agree to whatever he wants.

It's peanuts in PL cash terms and he virtually cost us nothing.

The best player I have seen for us for 50 years.

Yeah I mean anyone would think Wolves only have 2 fit senior midfielders, keep loaning money for cashflow, and keep failing to support the manager when he says he wants players. God only knows why they wouldn't imagine there could be some truth in this rumour that comes from a reasonable source in Portugal!?
