Welcome to Wolves Nelson Semedo

Doubt he’ll play much really, but sure he’ll do well when he does.

The vitriol over this signing on social media is actually funny goes from xenophobia to claims of corruption.

Doc and Jota can both hold their heads high when it comes to their Wolves careers since Nuno took over, not too bothered what they do with their next clubs

I wouldn't say I hope Doherty fails, but the social media reaction from Spurs fans to the signing and accusations of sour grapes when they were informed what they are getting is and will continue to be entertaining schadenfreude.

I hope Jota does well. I think he'll get a fair amount of games particularly in CL weeks.

I think Jota is going to do really well under Klopp. Good luck to the guy.

No offence to Doc, but hope he fails. One because of what Tony says. Two because if he does fail, Spurs are doing badly and that’s a rival weakened.

Meh, hope they both fail. They wanted to leave for rival teams, sod the pair of em.

There'll be plenty of occasions where he'll come on 2nd half when they are a couple of goals to the good. Ideal counter attacking situations.

Count me in the camp that thinks Jota is a bit of an odd fit in a Klopp team. Great dribbler in general but my biggest complaint with him was always how often he ran down blind alleys at the expense of his teammates. Not sure Liverpool will have patience for that.

I think at this level he's definitely better as part of a front two. That'll never happen at Liverpool.

He is however a miles better option than either Origi or Shaqiri.

I think he'll be a very good option off the bench for them, probably mainly from the left but can certainly play through the middle for them in a similar role to Firmino, but perhaps more running with the ball from deep than passing it.

I think Klopp is the ideal coach to take him to a more consistent level. We all know how good he can be at his absolute best

He's going to have more players close to him in attack rather than being a little more isolated at Wolves so playing in a 3 won't be as hard on him IMO.

Boozad, Deutsch and I have already had words with a reporter from The Athletic.

Tbf some of the responses to Lang on Twitter are embarrassing.

I think Lang's just angling for a job with Talkshite...

Something interesting that I didn't know (and could easily be apocryphal), but apparently Semedo was informed by Barcelona that he "wasn't good enough for the club" even before the Bayern match.

Tough to play with that hanging over you, I'd expect.

I'd anticipate Jota does well under Klopp. Liverpool are fantastic at moving the ball exceptionally quickly, and under great control. Jota will be perfect for this, and will likely replace Mane with Mane moving on next summer.

I loved Diogo when he was here, but he is to Sadio Mané what Declan Rice is to Ruben Neves.

Jeez, Doherty - Semedo must be the one of the most divisive transfer I’ve seen, albeit non wolves fans.

I might not know a huge amount about Semedo but I know a lot about Doherty and there’s no way he could play 100 games for Barcelona regardless of how ‘bad’ they are.

People getting mad for this swap... that would be the same as getting mad about swapping Traore for Messi.
