Welcome to Wolves Nelson Semedo

Blimey, full light show. As if we didn't already know this was a big deal

Get in. Welcome Nelson!

We’re really on our way up. New banner incoming...

This will make others sit up and take notice.

Semedo & Traore on the right hand side is a SCARY thought, if they click.

From what I have seen, Barca fans think he looks better with an out and out winger ahead of him - and you don't get much more out & out than Adama.

I am delighted with this signing and fair play to Jeff & Co for making it happen. What a crazy time to be a Wolves fan. The bloke literally played over 40 x games for BARCELONA last season and he's just signed for us. I am taking a moment to enjoy this right now. Cannot wait to see him feature.

Reading one of the scouting reports - Tugascout maybe? - he likes to play a lot of short, quick passes in and around the opposition box. So while I'm looking forward to seeing the uber-rapid partnership with Adama (as someone posted on Twitter, Matt Targett has announced his retirement) I'm looking forward even more to a partnership with the uber-intelligent Dan Podence

I've read around a bit the last few days. Safe to say there is a lot of divided opinion. Some think he can't defend. Some think he can't attack. Some of the more level-headed answers seem to think he struggled a bit because he basically had to cover the entire right side from the RB spot without any support - Messi would not defend, and the CMs would not cover over.

Safe to say that will not be an issue here, he will have support in front and behind and have a lot more freedom to do...well, whatever we ask really. And Nuno seems to excel at tweaking things to play to the squad's strengths.

(Also worth bearing in mind a lot of Barcelona fans are spoilt brats who don't even remember life before arguably the best player in history, so they lack perspective)

That Bayern game where they played a diamond he was just left to fail. He had a stinker 1v1 against Davies too which only compounded it. I can see him really thriving in our set up

Lets be honest Barcelona was a cluster fuck most of the second half of the season. I feel a lot of players were hung out to dry Semedo being one of them, hell Suarez, Vidal, Rakitic who were bigger players were just left to rot.

""It’s isn’t often that we have the opportunity to sign a world-class player from a world-class club. Nelson’s signing shows we will never stop progressing and we are still hungry and humble in our heart.”

Shopping in a different Supermarket now lads

Remember that squiggly belly feeling you got as a kid before a date................ :)

Bet Adama Traore broke down in tears and gave Semedo a big hug in training this morning...

Pretty much one of the only wing backs in World football that might actually be able to overlap Adama. :icon_lol:

Incredible signing.
