Welcome Willian José - Not Returned, DO NOT PANIC

Like his YouTube, and like his profile. I've never heard of tbh so no idea if he's any good or not, but fingers crossed. We'll still need to make serious changes to our approach, as he could have had peak Shearer up top for most of the season and people would be saying he's wank as he wouldn't be getting a sniff. Hopefully he can come in and do a job, give the lads around him a bit of a boost and encourage more attacking play
In bold is what we are all hoping.

I've seen a few videos this morning doing the rounds of when Wolves played good football/were confident (in the words of those who posted them), and nearly every single attack in said videos starts by Jimenez chesting the ball down, holding it up, pinging it to an attacker and running.

We miss that a lot.

Exactly. He's a catalyst for the way we play. Silva, although he has talent has not got what Raul brings to our play. The results after his injury bear it out too.

Absolutely. The problem with Silva - as others have said on here - is the ball just keeps coming back. It isn't his fault, he isn't ready. But it does mean our defence and midfield sit back more so than normal, and we rely on the attack to come through Traore and Neto - who actually floated and pinged in some lovely crosses against Albion in particular - but Silva wasn't there.

I think Nuno tried to solve this a bit by experimenting and playing Otasowie there in the hope it gave us more bite/hold up and it didn't work. Cutrone isn't that player either.

Couldn't have put that better. If Jose is as good as i've seen, it's going to transform the way we have been playing. And if he does, and they keep him, we will be in great shape when Raul comes back fully fit and ready.

Have Wolves ever announced a player before gaining a work permit? They must be pretty confident, or keen to placate the fans!
Zeljko Kalac!

It's all based on a points system now and you can pretty much tell in advance whether it'll be a pass or fail, there won't be many borderline cases.

It may not fix all of our problems but it goes a long way I think, and may see a change in mentality in some of the players (Neto, Traore, Semedo) to plough on and put crosses in.

The team selection last night particularly stunk of a manager frustrated as his two strikers just aren't getting on the end of some very good crosses, nor are they very good at holding the ball up.

Facts on the latter.

I'll certainly be interested to see if our patterns of play return and we appear more forceful/at least a bit more confident. I think we've tried to change a lot mid-season to accommodate Silva, perhaps to the jeopardy of the others.

I think it’s important not to put too much pressure on this guy, he’s not going to solve all our issues singlehandedly.

What we do miss is Rauls “goals out if nothing” which this bloke might bring - both Silva and Cutrone can’t do that. Silva, actually, can’t do anything.

Any decent striker will score goals with Neto, Podence and Traore either side of them so fingers crossed.

If he arrives at the molineux today his first words will be "Porra, está um frio sangrento aqui!" It's snowing in Wolves at the moment.

Hola????? He's Brazilian!

Welcome, Willian. Let's hope your on-pitch geography is better than our tweeter's.
He's been playing and living in Spain most of his career and is no doubt fluent.

Never heard of him. Who is he? Where did we buy him from?

I know nothing whatsoever about him. If he adds an improved option up front while we wait for Raul to get fit, then great.

For you guys that live in a cave without any way of finding out about a player... :ROFLMAO:

Wish you hadn’t put that up - the ad before the vid said that sex should last between 10 and 25 minutes! That’s a workout not a shag.
I missed that. I always avoid the ads. 25 mins though. I'd have a heart attack, and so would the missus!
