Welcome Willian José - Not Returned, DO NOT PANIC

He's been playing and living in Spain most of his career and is no doubt fluent.
Perhaps that explains it then (though I somehow doubt it). 'Wolves ay we?' might have been better, though. :)

good step in a positive direction. won't be a cure all and can't be down this guys throat if he takes a few matches to get going, but excited to see him in the starting lineup.

And to add to the above WJ himself on what it means to be joining Wolves. It's actually good to read what he says and his attitude to it.

Nice one Louis.

His link play, strength and aerial ability are the things I think we'll really see the most benefit from. Being able to stick the ball away occasionally will help massively too though ;)

It'll be interesting to see if he and Raul could actually play together up top. Both can drop deep and link play, so either could pivot away and leave the other in and around the box.

It'd almost be a 4-4-2 with either dropping deep at will to make it a 4-2-3-1. I'd be interested to see that. Imagine having two Raul style players, so when one drops off you still have the other in the box, with the deep one breaking to attack the box after laying it off to a wide player.

Also interesting how now players who we could only dream of a few years ago come to us because of the portuguese connection. That has really benefitted us hugely i believe.

A bit of analysis to get to know our new signing a bit better... :)
The most surprising thing in there for me are DCL's aerial duel stats. Would never have guessed he was such an asset on those.

Also, is it just me who thinks that Podence is slightly wasted in the middle? I get that we don't have a ton of options there but I really like what he brings out wide more than what I've seen from him as a de facto #10 (although, admittedly, I don't think we saw much of him in that position with Raul healthy, so that could make a big difference).
