I like the idea of Neto running inside and Semedo overlapping though.

If they were both going to play I’d rather utilise Semedo on the outside and Hoever would be better suited to paying the more disciplined “Jonny Role” on the left.

Are most of us in agreement that Vinagre is not progressing to that levels we need. On the other hand will now a run of games give him that platform to get to where we want him. In previous seasons he's been in and out and completely benched for long periods...

I quite like that idea - massive pace on both sides if Traore is on the right. Probably mean no Podence though, which would be very difficult to do.

I think he improved in the second season from the first, but hasn't since then. Which given his age is a concern.

His defending is inconsistent, played well against Sevilla for instance, but men were running off him constantly on Monday. Despite getting into good positions his end product in the final third is next to nothing.

He would have started this season if Nuno wasn't of the same opinion.

He needs consistent game time which he's rarely had unfortunately. Nuno doesn't appear to trust him with that though, so I think he needs to get himself a move eventually.

Safe to say if Semedo is pushed over to the left until Marcel is fit will signal the end for Vinagre.

I want to see Semedo and Adama link up. Donk gives Vinagre some support, and I think Neto has more goals in him than Pod, who is maybe more an assists man

Saiss got a raw deal just because of the tackle on De Bruyne, however if youre assessing it on that mistake then Boly and Coady need to be dropped as well, the backline as a whole was abysmal on Monday.

Thems the breaks for Saiss. Vinagre is in as I am assuming Marçal is injured.
