Blame starts (again) in CM for me, too passive and too little support for the forward and defence. Either play 3 or play Donk as one of the 2

Hoping somebody can share their version of positives from that performance for me.

We looked second class in every way shape and form.

Early days but can't really say Semedo is Barcelona class yet. Lacked tracking back and lacked the influence attacking. Hard to judge when the entire team bar Neto were shite.

We need a change in midfield. Soucek proved with his runs in behind what were lacking when we go neves/moutinho. They're too similar.

Positives: Semedo looked OK, Hoever looked better.

We need to get Boly back to lcb and I think we need to play 352. There was far too much space between the defence and midfield and that allowed runners directly at our back three. 352 allows Neves to be a bit deeper and block that space.

Poor all round performance but don’t see Fabio as a 35 million player. Missing Jota

Awful defensive performance and disjointed in attack.

We missed Podence; Semedo needs time to bed in (and get used to playing with Adama- which isn't an easy task), and Marçal needs to get fit quick as Vinagre just isn't up to it.

Hoping for a much-improved performance against Fulham.

I definitely agree on Boly to LCB and 3-5-2, but that means Donk as RCB - so a midfield 3 of Moutinho, Neves and Vintinha? Doesn’t work for me.

Hoever, Vitinha, and Fabio looked okay, at least relative to everybody else.

But as Slink rightly said on the match thread, it was a combination of shite individual performances and probably the most unbelievable tactical cock up Nuno has ever made.

Credit to West Ham, they took the rope we gave them firmly, but Christ, we gave them a ton of rope to hang us with.
