I can’t be disappointed in the efforts of the team. They have been magnificent. If we win on Sunday I reserve the right to be incredibly disappointed in Mike Dean. That decision will have cost us so much.

Can you downgrade to just being gutted?

I guess so, then would I just be deluded rather than a deluded idiot? Actually, while we're at it, I wonder if pacamac would swap his cunt for my idiot, then I can be a deluded cunt, the whole hog, Johnny would be proud

Predicted 6th at the start of the season & will hopefully be proved correct, but if I'm wrong then it won't be by much.

We were unlikely to continue the meteoric rise upwards that we had in the previous 2 seasons as the competetion would become harder & we were tackling (pretty succesfully so far) a european competition for the first time for many years.

There has still been progress this year & whilst I might have a slight tinge of regret that we have not gone further seeing as how the points score for a CL place looks to be the lowest it's been for a long time did think that that was a step to far for us just yet.

Gutted is not an emotion I have had - there have been so many other times when I was, but now just no. The fact that we are challenging at this level (whether we suceed or not) is something that I didn't think that I would ever see again.

Inam dissapointed we did not stay the distance in the chase for 4th.

We have had a fantastic season and we have every right to be happy with the season.

There was bever a better time to break into the top 6 and if we fail to do that I will be really dissapointed.

Next season we really need to be pushing for a 5th / 4th finish, with hopefully a real good run in the FA Cup.

I am not disappointed that we finished 7th at worst. I am disappointed that two goals post 90 mins in two games cost us a total of three points.
I am disappointed that us and Sheffield top the table for VAR decisions going against them
I am disappointed that the standard of officiating seems to be worse with var than without it.

Next season if we keep the players and Nuno by and large we have to be a little less cautious. The intensity at home was not there in a number of games.

Podence and Neto look very shrewd buys. Traore has tripled his investment. He may be the one who leaves us and if he does good luck to him. Hope he goes abroad though!

I've dared to dream and predicted none Wolves results to the end of the season (We beat Arsenal and draw with Chelsea). This is what I got:
3 Man U 68
4 Leicester 65
5 Chelsea 64
6 Spurs 62
7 Arsenal 56

So assuming we won't have GD on anyone, points needed for...
3rd 18 (6 Wins)
4th 14 (4 Wins 2 Draws)
5th 13 (4 Wins 1 Draw 1 Defeat, although that can't be to Chelsea)
6th 11 (3 Wins, 2 Draws, 1 Defeat)

Man U and Spurs have some favourable fixtures:
Leicester - Palace, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Sheff U, Spurs, Man U (3,1,2)
Chelsea - Watford, Palace, Sheff U, Norwich, Liverpool, Wolves (2,4,0)
Man U - Bournemouth, Villa, Southampton, Palace, West Ham, Leicester (5,1,0)
Arsenal - Wolves, Leicester, Spurs, Liverpool, Villa, Watford (3,1,2)
Spurs - Sheff U, Everton, Bournemouth, Arsenal, Newcastle, Leicester, Palace (5,2,0)

Going back to this post and amending with actuals
3 Man U 68 (66)
4 Leicester 65 (62)
5 Chelsea 64 (66)
6 Spurs 62 (59)
7 Arsenal 56 (56)

So from the 6 games left we would have needed to win 5 of them for the CL or 4 and a draw if that was against Chelsea assuming those wins gave us the GD

Just had a look at the original thread, I said 8-10 and most fell into the 6-10 category with a few saying top 6. So not much entitlement there, we've done really well especially given how far we've got in the EL. Some probably got a bit over excited after our first 3 games post lockdown ( me included) but surely its not too bad to feel a bit disappointed we didn't eventually get top 6?
I'm going to state now that I WILL be disappointed if we don't get past Olympiacos as I think we're a better team and in the box seat with an away goal.......even allowing for us having a 13 month season. If that makes me entitled, then I hold my hands up
