I think losing Grealish would help Villa. They are too reliant on him much like we can be on Traore at times

Seeing all the Villa celebrations today (Dean Smith etc rather than the fans)....I mean well done for dragging yourself out of it but don't be celebrating like you have won the league. You spent so much money you should not be patting each other on the back about being slightly better than Bournemouth and Watford but not as good as West Ham. Tin fucking pot.

Who would pay the money Villa would want for him? Utd probably would but he'd be a squad player now they've got Fernandes. I think he'll stay there as people have finally woken up to what he actually does as opposed to what they think he does

Newcastle when they finally become mega rich. Apparently they won't be sacking Bruce if they take over

I say revert to my idea of automatically relegating anyone who fails to achieve 1PPG, regardless of where they finish...

35 points is fairly pathetic. We got 38 in 2009/10, we were not a good team and did not spend £150m (even adjusting for 10 years' of inflation)

I think yesterday was a bit of a sliding doors moment for Villa, they've been shocking in most parts only managing 35 points and a GD of -26 pretty much says you aren't good enough at this level.
However I think they might just learn from this huge scare and build slowly, I think they'll be fine next season. If one of Swanea or Cardiff wins the play offs I think you might only have one relegation spot to worry about.
Sentiment can't slip into thought here and they shouldn't be blinded by the last 4 games, Smith should be relieved of his duties. He'll get work at just about any Championship club who need a manager no problem.

Well I'm really happy. Bournemouth (spits) have been relegated, and further will not be coming back. Horrendous expnditure there for no real return.

Watford - loved seeing ben foster and troy deeney relegated. They've been a proper shithouse team this year, with a fair bit of hoofball. Deeney already seems to be touting himself around the promoted clubs, angling for a move.

Villa need to make a decision, more control to smith, or smith goes. No idea which way will work best. Personally I'd stick with smith but give him a bigger say in transfer policy.

Almost certain one of the promoted clubs will want Deeney, Albion looks a good bet. Also wouldn’t be surprised if Craig Dawson goes back there to.

Deeney is absolutely finished, Watford fans have long since had enough of him. Five goals from open play all season.

Yep he’d be better of trying to help his beloved Blues than try and stay in the PL. Sad thing is a lot of that Watford squad will probably get the chance in other top flight leagues if they want to.
For some bizarre reason I saw a lot of their games since restart and the players who were most shocking were Capoue, Femina, Foster, Dacoure and Will Hughes, the later I’ve never seen a midfielder at this level misplace so many passes.

Villa have sacked the guy who did their recruitment

I'm convinced that it wasn't just some guy who looked like Richard Madeley, it was Richard Madeley.

If Smith was going to go you’d expect it to happen very soon

Think that actually strengthens smiths position myself. He's kept them up in spite of madeleys work.

I wonder if Raul has sent him a mask to wear so that he can go out, as he's a loser
