Any watching? It's all on the iPlayer/Red Button from what I can tell.

Just about to watch the second run in the final of the Snowboard Slope Style.

Getting into it actually. Couple of Brits in the final, which always helps keep the interest up.

This is quality viewing. How they get that much air is unreal.

Seems Norway got a medal, the problem with sports like this one is the judging part.I don't have a clue who's winning or doing well during the race...it was still fascinating to see how good they are.

My favourite winter sports are cross country skiing, speed skating, ski jumping and biathlon (cross country skiing and shooting at targets!)
In the Olympics I also enjoy ice hockey and curling, sports I rarely watch at other times. :)

Great Britain actually have a very capable cross country skier,Andrew Musgrave who lives in Norway. He won the Norwegian championship in the sprint event which basically means he can win in the olympics on a good day.

I'm sure he'll be starting tomorrow in the 30K skiathlon.

Giant slalom, speed skating, ice hockey and snow boarding are the ones I have most interest in been sking many times in France and Austria absolutely love it.
Sorry but curling is just bowls on ice if you ask me.

Yeah I forgot about the alpine events,I like them too.

Sorry but curling is just bowls on ice if you ask me.

Fair enough,I find the tactical play fascinating....once every 4 years. :)

Main interest will be in the skiing. Want to see Hirscher deal with the pressure in an Olympics. Phenomenal talent.

Also big fan of the luge and skeleton takes some serious balls to do these events.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Bowls is a fantastic game.
I'll be watching the sports, but trying to avoid the figure skating. They're good at what they do, but it just doesn't interest me.

Another gold for Norway,in biathlon.Ole Einar Bjørndalen (40 now) has won 51 medals in 102 championship (Olympics and World Ch.) starts.25 of them gold.

I assume the Winter Olympics is a bigger deal to Norway compared to the summer games?

Winter Olympics in Calgary 1988 and Eddie Edwards! World needs more people with humour and courage like Eddie :)

Bronze for Jenny Jones & Team GB. First ever medal on snow. I'm er ... stoked!

I have to have the tv muted to watch, particularly when a GB person is involved, the 'commentary' is atrocious. Yay for the medal though!

Helps if you are good at them I suppose, I think they have won the most gold medals in the history of the winter Olympics,

I liked the slopestyle commentary actually. Makes a nice change from the cliche ridden guff you get for the football these days

Maybe it was better when a British person wasn't involved but it just sounded like fanzone on Sky Sports to me.

It was when Jenny Jones won bronze. I just liked the enthusiasm they had coupled with the knowledge of the sport they were commentating on.

Loving these big-thighed women speed skaters :D

Yep,although the summer games are popular we normally only take one or two medals. We still enjoy good athletic competitions but like it or not,medals/chances of medals do bring something extra.
