Wolves 0-1 Man Utd: Verdict Thread

Coady subbed off. Lage notices things?
I am not going to throw my toys out of the Oran. We deserved points in all three of our games and got zilch. When it clicks this style of play will reap rewards. We are not Brighton in my opinion. We are faster and more direct than them. We just can’t score. That will change. United Spurs and Leicester won’t want to play us again any time soon. We will dump spurs out of the carabao if we play in any way like that .I just wish Shi would back Bruno. He has already proved he has the coaching nous turning last seasons bore teams into one anyone would watch. Come on Jeff. It’s worth a punt

I've been largely (see what i did there) impressed with Bruno, but one thing that he needs to be sharper with, and it's developing into a pattern is his reluctance to make subs sooner and/or the "right" subs..

I was very annoyed at Rui being sold but I have been really impressed with Sa today, he has not done well on the goal but watching it back it's unlucky as I don't think he has expected it to end up so close to him. Everything else about him looks really positive though and his distribution looks very good.

We need to get some points and start scoring, no good being the new Brighton, granted we have had a difficult start we but used to come out of similar tricky runs better than 0/9.

Yeah really impressed with how quick he was to see danger of balls over the top or the through ball, i think it would have developed into a problem a couple of times if Rui was in goal, unlikely that Rui fucks the goal up though, but then again Rui had paper wrists on occasion too.

To be fair, I don’t think Lage has enough on the bench to change things when we are trailing. Podence makes sense and did come on at an appropriate time, can understand why Lage was not keen to bring him on too early as the wide players had done well until fatigue got to them.

After that, we only have MGW and Fabio who (as someone who thinks they will come good eventually) are not at a level where they have enough in their locker to bring goals from the bench. Hwang will change this hopefully but very much wait and see.

Yeah, since half time at Leicester I can’t have any criticisms of Bruno. Midfield has been very dominant and excelled, we are creating chances and actually giving away very few.

key is to keep performing as we have against different types of opposition

Yeah, i guess it was less of an issue today compared to against Spurs and Leicester, but i felt Donk and/or RAN should have been brought on today.

Very frustrating performance. Shouldn't have lost. We badly lack a cutting edge at the minute. Raul isn't up to speed still and Traore continues to frustrate.

How Saiss didn't score I'll never know.

Positive signs but you can't keep bemoaning a lack of goals no matter how well you attack. Got to start scoring soon.

Another really impressive performance apart from the all important scoring goals part. I think we will be fine this season, nowhere near relegation, because if we continue to play this way the goals are bound to come eventually. But 57 attempts and no goals? If that doesn’t change it is will be what puts us in a relegation battle.

Defensively we are decent despite all the ‘sky is falling’ posts from some people on Bruno’s appointment, and the comments about how we would be torn apart playing a more attacking line. Not happened has it? We’ve conceded from a fabulous finish, a dodgy penalty and a a shot that should never have been allowed to happen. This with Max Kilman in defence. Our midfield play so far has been dominant. Against 3 sides who finished in Europe. Neves this season is simply magnificent. Bruno is really getting the best out of him.

We will win games. No doubt. This Wolves is the most fun to watch in 3 years at least. We are an exciting, positive team and that is down to Bruno. Now the board need to back him properly.

Today, alongside MOTM Neves, I thought Trincao, Adama and Kilman put in superb performances. Raul is rusty, hopefully Bruno gets some Brasso out to polish him up…

So frustrating, particularly against them cunts, who always seem to shithouse a win against us.
What a turn around in performance from us, but 3 games in nil points and nil goals and sitting nicely in the bottom 3.

Someone has put a hex on the net for us. Maybe Nuno did as he was leaving..lol. Trincao and Siass were just unfortunate today. 9 out of 10 times both of their efforts are goals.
I'm not worried at the moment. No way we are not going to dominate teams this year, but as always scoring has been our let down. Bruno ball is certainly entertaining though. I was a sceptic but you have to give the guy credit where it's due....

I'm sure when the first goes in it'll be like the dam breaking. I wish it would have been in the previous 3 games though.
Who would have thought that the same players who played that turgid dross last year could play so completely different!

As i said earlier, i don't think we have a problem with defence or midfield, or even up top. We need someone who can put in it in the net. Maybe we already have them. They need to come out of the closet pronto!

Firstly no complaints with the performance again created so much.
But let’s be honest the tale of the tape has to change and regardless of performance pressure will start mounting especially if we don’t start yielding points soon. We’ve got a genuine problem in front of goal currently.
As for the goal from the north you could hear the contact on Neves, but I thought it was a fair 50/50 at the time having got home and seen the replays I’m pretty angry it wasn’t overturned. The fault of that is firmly with Stewart Atwell not Mike Dean. Did Pogba win the ball? No Did he make contact with Neves? Yes was a foul? Yes
Again the PL will hide behind the clear and obvious error mantra.
But having said that Sa should be saving that effort.
First half we were dominant second I thought they came back into it more.
We never recovered from falling behind and never looked like equalising.

Plus points. Again created plenty against a side who will probably finish in the top 4. Didn't allow them any real chances.

Regardless of Dean making it all about him again, we need to be scoring 2/3 with the amount of chances and positions we found ourselves in today. Hopefully it's all going to click when Raul hits sharpness with Hwang hopefully being able to add a few goals.

Unlikely this sort of profligacy will continue.

If Neves goes down in a heap instantly I think he gives it.
The funny thing is compare the level of contact on the penalty Man Utd got in May which was deemed a fluke compared to that today.
