Wolves 0-2 Brighton Where's Dave gone? Verdict

Another powderpuff pathetic performance from back to front.. The sooner this season is over and the likes of Doherty, Batth, Edwards and I'll go as far as adding Dicko and Bod to the list as well, the better..

I had some proper tosser in earshot of me who spent the game shouting "Knockaert, where's your dad gone?" Whilst stood next to what looked like his own son.

I can't comment as I haven't seen the game, but on 5 live the reporter at Molineux said Wolves had made Brighton work very hard for their victory

Couldn't disagree more once Brighton went ahead they were very comfortable.

Sidwell was a class above anything behind Knockaert, he dictated the play all game.

That is really poor - some people shouldn't be allowed to breed

Spot on Quirk. We are desperately missing a player like him in midfield to replace the ineffective Edwards.

I thought Connor Coady was the worst player on the pitch. Shit positionslly, shit tracking back and also tried to gift them at least 2 goals.

And being the worst on the pitch had massive competition from flappy hand lonnergan, Dave 'no touches Edwards plus kortney hause missing the ball 3 times for the first goal.

A lacklustre performance against a far better side who wanted it way more than we did. Our buildup was so slow and predictable - we're much better than that and you wouldn't think the majority of that bunch had any concerns about their future here.

I didn't think it was quite as bad as others have made out as we carved out a few opportunities but yet again we were punished for having a hesitant, uncommunicative, error-laden defence and not enough options going forward.

Lonergan is awful, Saiss and Edwards totally outclassed, Weimann out of position, Marshall not at the races and the back 4 not up to it.

I don't like seeing a team coast through a game like that - with a bit more drive wed have offered far more problems and there were far too many wasted passes.

We just need the season to end TBH - we know who is fit for purpose and who isn't - I just wish the players gave the impression that they're playing for their futures here.

Coady was dreadful. As were many to be honest. Even Hause had some really dodgy moments when he has done really well.

There is absolutely no plan in or out of possession sadly. We are lucky to have had likes of Costa and Cav but we need better quality and better coaching if we want to come anywhere near the play offs next season.

There are games when Edwards running & pressing helps and games when it is of no use - this was one of them

Left us a player short the whole time, not that it was the only reason we lost.

Lambert is trotting the experience line out again. Brighton had more of it than us.

Lonergan the back four and Edwards have over 1000 league games between them for us and previous clubs at this level and the first goal resulted from the player with the least experience mistiming his interception and the most experienced player pushing the ball into his net rather than round the post.

Presumably we won't be able to shift Costa in the summer because of this inexperience?

I hate the excuses coming out of the club for shit footballers.

Thought Cav and Marshal had decent games the rest of them were pretty bad. Brighton showed us just how far we are away from a decent Championship side, woefully lacking in quality and some players that frankly shouldn't be in this league.

Lonergan was dreadful stick Burgoyne in over that disaster.

If anyone ever bumps into Lambert can you politely ask what Dave has to do to get dropped?

Anyone got one of those pass maps I've seen on this forum a few times in the past verdict threads?

Considering he called Edwards a 'terrific footballer' a few days ago I don't see him being dropped anytime soon

As for the old guard playing for their futures, do they see it that way as some of them have already inexplicably been rewarded with new contracts instead of being told to pull their fingers out and prove they're worth retaining

Useless picking apart individual performances IMO. It was exactly the same as vs Bristol, they just weren't up for it which is absolutely unforgivable. Once again we find ourselves with a squad full of cosy, half arsed cloggers and in desperate need of yet another change in culture. Why can't this club just learn from its mistakes for once? I feel like I've watched that game on repeat my whole life. Fucking Wolves.

No, we didn't complete enough passes.....

The guy who I've been sharing his passmaps from hasn't knocked one up (@11tegen11 on Twitter). If he shares one then I'll post it on here.

If Lambert can't see how shit the majority of players are then he won't see next season out.
